Default Finally in the process of lemoning my car...

Here it is ladies and gentlemen.....

Purchased my 350z at Douglas Nissan of Orange... April, 18, 2006....

At about 2500 miles of enjoyment...... transmission starts acting up (Griding, popping out of gear, burnt clutch smell, disgusting noises coming from transmission/engine. Sounds like a turbo diesel). Well i ended up taking it to the dealer i purchased it at, they had run diagnostics and ended up saying that there was nothing wrong with the vehicle, and that they couldn't duplicate anything.

Well took it in a week later to the same dealership.... also told me the same thing above.... at this time in going nuts...

Long story short.... finally after going back and forth from different dealerships, West Covina Nissan ends up replacing my transmission at 32k miles... 8k Miles down the road at 41k on odometer.... transmission acting up again..... rattling noises like no tomorrow... pretty much embarrassed to drive the car...

I have gone ahead and talked to a Lemon Law firm..... and im almost 2 weeks in.... I have a friend that works as a secretary there..... She had told me i have a very strong case and they are going ahead to notify Nissan.. and i will be notified soon on the progress.

I hope everything works out... I swear I think I got a defective Z from the manufacture. Just my luck...

Wish me luck!!! I will keep you all posted..

Thanks for reading

Does California lemon law allow for replacement after a single incident - replacing the transmission?

But I like having no points on my license, low insurance and potentially better gas mileage

Actually, I agree.

But...I still wouldn't want one.

Love my '06 6MT. And at 25K, it has been absolutley trouble free.

Good luck with it but it does seem like you would need more than one instance to get the car lemoned.
