Wichita... I remember that place.

The Sky REDLINE is actually a pretty cool car. A co-worker has one. Not bad on a track. Z is quicker/faster in a straight line by far.

I'd personally rather get a Z.

Tony (was stationed at Ft. Riley and used to party down in Wichita all the time)

The Saturn Sky Redline and base model come only in a convertable. The difference being the Redline has a slightly stiffer suspension and 260 hp 4cyl turbocharged motor. The potential with the engine is high due to coming from the factory with a turbo. Open up the exhaust and up the boost and those things get moving. I have not driven the Redline so I cannot compare handling characteristics between the two. However, there is a Soltice GXP w/ the handling package that runs A stock around here in the Philly SCCA and does a pretty good job of cleaning up.

Aren't the Saturn Sky & Pontiac Solstice mostly the same cars? In the way that GM sometimes does this (ie: camero/firebird, cavalier/sunfire, etc.)?

My brother has the Sky Redline and even in a straight line the cars are dead even give or take a car length depending on who gets off the line better. They are harder to launch than ours though. The 07 is indeed faster than the Redline stock but as someone said with it being a few mods go a long way.

My bad boys, was thinking the saturn and pontiac both had the option. Either way cars look pretty slick, and I have driven both versions. The "REDLINE" having the "TURBO" makes it a pretty nice little car. But, in my opinion not in same class as the Z. More in the Miata class, nice top down cruiser.

its an awesome car, i was lookin at gettin one before i got my Z. THe thing the Sky guys complain about is the cheap top and the horrible cabin noise. I think the Z is a better all around qaulity car

The feds are investigating the brake booster pressure on the Solstice/Sky...I forget what years are in question.
