Update:
I talked to the Sales manager and he told me that since I test drove the car I bought I was accepting all the options on it and he accused me of having buyer's remorse. I told him I did not have buyer's remorse at all and just wanted a Touring model 350z. He claimed that he could buy back the car they sold me and sell me a Touring model car without me taking a loss on the Base model that I have. I don't believe them but I don't know if I have another choice but to at least hear them out. I'm going back to the dealership tonight and I'm going to try and work out a deal. I am very anxious about this whole thing, but hopefully it will work out.

Get a lawyer or call Nissan NA !
btw, how much of a price difference between that Touring and a base model if you would have gotten the base!
oh and do you happen to have their phone number by any chance?

yeah f*** that
you should go back and if they dont do the right thing call consumer affairs or better business bureau. but before you leave stay at the dealership doorway and tell potential customers how they screwed you over so they lose business, plus it would be hysterical when you tell everyone on here about what happened

Maybe I missed something, but it seems you were pretty adimant about getting a Touring Z...how did you not notice it didn't have any of the options a Touring Z would have that you seemed to want before completing the deal?

Yeah it was pretty stupid on my part . . . the differences I did notice I waived off as being due to the fact I was getting an '07 instead of an '08. Bottom line I was an idiot for not making sure myself before agreeing to the deal. Hopefully they can help me resolve it tonight.

I bet they agree to trade up on an 08 and he will lose on the taxes he paid!
Thats why they are called Thieves, I mean Stealerships! I remember when the Stealership razor bladed my entire front end, the headlights and mirrors when installing a clear bra on my Base 03 Z. $2400 in damage and they wouldn'tt replace the Z, instead I got a half *** paint job and new Halogen headlights, So **** greedy stealerships, can't stand them!

Unfortunately, many car stealerships make the most profit dealing with the uninformed. They dont like educated consumers walking through their doors. Ironically, part of the Nissan sales process, the salesman is supposed to go over all the features of the car at the time of delivery...this is when he would have explained the CD Changer, the Cruise control, the operation of the power seats etc... obviously on a base model none of these features existed which would have raised flags. Even though I didn't need it, I got this experience from my sales man at Daytona Nissan when I bought my 350Z. I negotiated over the phone and Email, knew exactly what I wanted, which they had...and when I got there to pick up the car, the deal and the car was as promised. There are just to many resources now on the internet including forums like this to get ripped off like the OP did...shame on the dealership for unethical sales practices, and shame on the OP for being an uneducated consumer.

With your experience, you are qualified as an “advisor” in the buying forum.

I feel bad for you, but...
if I read this right - you got a base model with CLOTH seats? Should have been an immediate tip-off.
And I agree with one of the other posters - dealerships hate informed customers. That is the best weapon. Before I get to the dealership, I know far more about the cars on thier lot than they do.
Good Luck in getting this taken care of. It's still wrong - and going to be a mess to fix....

This dealer played the game very well. They did'nt have the car he wanted in an AT. He asked them to get a dealer trade. They wer'nt very hot on that. Buy a left over 07 MT Touring, You'll get a great deal. In the end he got the bend over and kiss your a** deal. Read the thread from page one. He's guilty of being missinformed. The dealer is quilty of fraud. I messed up when I bought my 03. The Bose radio worked but I did'nt try a cd . When driving the car home, I put in a cd, It did'nt play for five minutes. I called the dealer, to bad, to sad, to late.
