Default I'm considering a 350Z

Hi, I'm 15 and I'm going to turn 16 in 2 weeks. I'm thinking about buying either a 350Z or a VW R32. What should I know about these cars? It's going to be my daily driver, how's the MPG?

What a lucky kid. You live in SD or LA?

Both rides are wicked but if you're a first timer I believe the R32 would be a more practical car for you. It's probably more efficient than the Z. I don't know the technical specifics of MPG for each car but I'm sure the R32 is a little more gas efficient.

I don't own a VW but all my friends who do love modding these things. I'm fond of the VW hatchbacks and the Golf is probably my favorite hatchback.

It'll probably be cheaper to mod on the aesthetics, and easier to find parts since it is a Golf by nature...it shares alot of characteristics from other VW's. These guys are light so they're probably a hell alot of fun to throw around the road.

don't any of the specs of the vw r32 other than it gonna be really fast like a gti on steroids. but as for the 350z mpg.... the dealer specs are 19 city/ 26 highway. but from my experience i average 16.6 mpg, but i do a lot of stop and go.

Anyone who has enough funds to be driving a vehicle with more horsepower than they need to get their *** around is spoiled in my book!

Another question:

Since you've been driving a two seater for awhile. How is it???

Most of us are so excited about the new Z that we all overlook the absence of practicality.

From an everyday driver of a two-seater who's driven it for awhile...what are your peeves and praises???

no one flamed, its mostly I think concern that the Z tends to bring out the dark side in people, and people always push it farther than it should be pushed, inexperience compounds this matter.

we dont want to see the thread about someone getting killed in the Z.

dont worry, Im not blindly ranting about it, Im 19, its my 3rd car, and I lost control of my car, luckily in an uninhabited area with nothing but a curb to hit. and I cant really blame it on anything but myself.

to be honest, it sucks ***. i'm cheap so i carry my laundry back from school (sd-->la)and that takes up my trunk. if i take other stuff back there's no room for a second person. i drove a friend back once and he never asked for another ride....well i guess that's kind of a good thing good part is that every time we go out with more than two people, i don't have to drive

i'm not flaming...matter of fact my parents paid for half of my car it's just an accepted thing to do on message boards with sport cars...i was expecting flames too, but the 350z crowd came off nicer than expected

btw, you have to see that most people see kids as irresponsible drivers that push their cars to the limit with the media's influx of stories on street racing and it's casualties.

and don't lie to me and say that you never pushed your car well beyond you know you should
