I'm considering a 350Z
good part is that every time we go out with more than two people, i don't have to drive
plus, if you get a stick, it ussually cuts the whining about "I wanna drive it!" by atleast 3/4s since you can just say, you donno how to drive stick.

oh but theres much more, not only do you not have to drive, but you never get nominated as DD, and if you do, you drive someone elses car, which keeps your car out of danger of the drunken jealous fools.

They don't nominate me... but you feel obligated when a vehicle capable of 7 people is under your control when everyone else has compact vehicles.
I thought about the r 32 for a while and then I came back to reality:
The R 32
Recently I had a 95 VW Golf and I was very happy with it until a couple of years ago when it started to give me lots of problems and the car has only 70,000 (not bad for a 95). How much dough did I put into trying to fix it you ask?? Well, lets just say that my mechanic's son will not have to get loans if he decides to go to college. VW is not what it used to be. Reliability is horrible with their current line and they keep dishing out new models when they have not taken care of the current problems.
In terms of aftermarket products I don't think you'll see a lot of them for this engine because is an engine that will not be very popular (unlike the 1.8t engine) because it will only be available on a few models.
Practically: the R 32 is way more practical
The Z
The Z will be way more reliable than the R 32
Aftermarket porducts are popping out everywhere, brakes, suspension, superchargers, turbos, body kits, etc... you name it and we're just getting started.
Practicallity is were the Z come up short
If you decide to go for the R 32 and plan on owning it for more than 5 years BEWARE!!! After 5 years GET RID OF IT!!!!!!!!!!! sell it, burn it, get somebody to steal it or whatever but get rid of it. If not you will get screwd worse than if you got root cannal without anestesia, with rusty instriments, per rectum by a blind and drunk dentist.
VW dealers are great until you buy the car it is not easy to find shops that do extensive work on german cars because they're kinda funky (I guess that depends on where you live).
Who needs 4 seats anyway. I just need enough space for me and my honey. If someone wants to tag along they'll have to keep up with my Z.
