You want $1.25 a gallon gas again? Not to mention the national security concerns it would alleviate.

Drill, drill, drill!!! Oh no, the freaking tree huggers and you people that keep voting them into office will throw a hissy.

They "The United States Geological Survey" now know that there are 500 billion barrels of oil in the Bakken Formation. 500 billion, ladies and gentlemen. Lets go get the sh*t and quit whining so damn much.

!. The car computer will make necessary adjustments.
2. If the car pings or "diesels", stop using 87-octane gas.
3. Consumer Reports scientists ran tests, conclusion: if the vehicle doesn't
ping or "diesels", keep using 87-oct.
4. Been doing it since 1998 on: Olds Intrigue, Xterra, Maxima, P'fider, conclu-
sion: NO PROBLEMO.

Are you kidding me? We have more than enough oil to last until we find an alternative. Not using what we already have is insane.

Oh, lets not use what we have because it might run out in 50 years.

don't you think oil consumption will grow higher and higher over the years, taking into account the greater development of third world countries.

and its being smart 101....if we're going to run out of something (stranded on an island), it's probably best not to keep using it...

...5. Owner's Manual states that "for performance purposes" Premium should be used. It DOES NOT even as much as insinuate that engine damage could result from the usage of Regular!

Like it or not, oil is what runs our world at present. With out oil, no Z, no job, no food “unless you have a garden in your back yard.” If your (stranded on an island) as you say. Then you use what you have while looking for something else. Discarding what you have and need to survive at present because you might run out is absurd to say the least. That would be stupid 101…
