Default Is it just me or does it seem like....

I was cruisn down the main strip here in Charlottesville, and i see a really nice black 350Z at a light. He had some nice staggered wheels, lip kit etcc... Well i ride by him while he was sitting at the light waiting to turn left, and i wave at him. Half way down the road i see him in my rear view mirror coming up and he does a ricer fly by. Im like OKK WTF. I tried to get him to roll his window down to have a quick chat with him about his Z and he zooms off again.

Now is it just me or most Z drivers are such *******s. Im in my 3rd week of owning my Z and im just trying to meet some new people with the same car and talk about it. I dont get why most people are douchebags like that. This is the same issue with SRT4 owners. When i had my SRT4 a lot of people were like that.

It's just you. I've NEVER see behavior like that from a Z owner.

Default Times have changed

I got my first Z in 1978. Everyone would acknowledge each other. It didn't matter if you had a 240, 260 or 280. If you saw another Z you waved and they waved back.

I'd say my wave-back percentage is at about 50 but maybe thats because half the Z owners in south fla are mad old...

Was it a UVa student? That could explain the douchebag part... j/k, but it is possible it was just some spoiled rich kid *****, you'll find that at most college towns.

I got my first one in 80. There's a whole different demographic of Z owners now than there was back then.

Fact I got my 1st 240Z back in 78, back then there were really not many imports on the American roads. The original Z car was priced great but lacked the high HP of the American muscle cars. Z cars were rare and they were usually owned by older men & women not 20 somethings

I don't think "ricers" existed back then either

About 90% of 350Z drivers I would pass in my z32 wouldn't even look at my car , you could tell they just bought they car cause it was pretty, sporty, or whatever and they weren't into it or anything. Older model owners would usually give a nod, I got more acknowledgement from other car owners than Z owners! I just think a lot of them had no clue what a 300zx was haha.

I used to wave when I first got the car, but then there are more 350Z's around now. I think I look retarded waving.

Most people wave. Young or Old.
Don't let it get to you though, it was just one person. He probably just found that his girlfriend was cheating on him and wanted to give his pride some boost

I'm 21 and wave to 240 owners. I love 'em all.

Just here last week pulled out of the gas station in my 350 to see an orange ( whatever the datsun color was back then) 240 roll past, had to give a honk of approval, which was immediately returned, I thought that was so cool, and im 22 ( oh no, he let his age out!!!!)
