Default Recommend me a good car shipping company...

Moving from Georgia to Texas. Would like to find a good car company to ship the car. Should I use "Open" or "Enclosed?"

Driving it is not a real option since I am already going to drive the Altima with my baby.

I had a friend ship his audi from St. Louis to San Diego for $800. It was an open move and the car arrived with no damage. I'll see if he remembers what company he used if you are still looking.

AAAAdvantage car transporters. Uses their own trucks and really nice to deal with.

Anyone have any current recommendations? I need to ship my Z from San Jose, CA to the Seattle, WA area in about 2 weeks.

5 years ago my company used Dependable Auto Shippers for my Z and former Maxima and they were ok (pickup guy was VERY careful) but the bottom part of the front bumper on my Z got scraped up and the plastic lip underneath had gouges. Fortunately, their insurance paid for the repairs (>$900) and I'm sure they lost money on me.

Just looking for current recommendations... This time, I have to pay for the shipping.

Van 3 gave me a great shipping rate. They were not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. I wanted my car to be shipped by a company that is insured and one with a great reputation. Another company quoted a lower price but when I asked if my vehicle will be insured while it is transported by them, the sales representative told me that my insurance should cover me. Van 3 showed me that they are fully insured and I ended up paying a little more, but it sure felt good knowing that if anything happened to my car, I will not be paying anything out of my pocket. Van 3 Auto Transport is a great vehicle shipping company. www.van3autotransport.com

This times a million.
I actually haul cars in a enclosed trailer for my dads company. Most reputable car carriers use centraldispatch.com to ship cars.
