thought of tradin the z for evo x, never mind though...
Few days ago i went to check them out just to see how they compare to the ix, and it is nothing like it. i was really disapointed in the lack of power those things have, it was just really slow, and had no lag. it didnt even seem like a turboed car... i was thinking of getting back into the evo game, but not with the x...

How many z wantin evo threads are there. Something about those evos really second guesses z owners. Lord knows i been there. But every time I look at Catherine Zeta Jones (my car) I cant see myself without her.

I have a friend who just got one loaded out with the widebody-esque kit and it is pretty sharp I think. He brought it to an auto cross last weekend and it was pretty quick. It's amazing what the control of AWD can do for you coming out of slaloms, etc.

yea I have always had that go through my mind too. I think the X is so much uglier than the ix though. The ix is the only evo that could maybe replace my Z. Both the new sti and the X is a step back for both manufacturers.

Hell when I test drove an 07 Z it felt like it was slower than my 03 but I knew better than that, it's all about the design IMO.

I love the new evo X,very aggressive and less econbox looking like the evo 9 even though it looks like a larger version of the lancer. Front reminds me of the r34 but I would never trade me Z in for one but I would love to have it as a daily driver.

I think the EVo 8 r 9 is probably the best bang for the buck if you can get past the ricey looks. Its ricer then the subbie STi but performance and pracitcal purpose wise (5 season vehicle) these bargains can't be beat.
For launch, 0-80mph speed, handling and all season vehicle the Evo 7-8-9 can't beat except if you want something sleek, with smooth lines, exotic looking and pure Sports Car, for near the same money then get a Z or a Porsche Cayman S imho.

OP the X is a decent car and is still very quick. With exhaust and a chip you can get an extra 90 hp, and that's not even scratching the surface of this car. No, most of the Z's with wheels can't beat this car and definitely not comparing a stock vs. a stock car.
