07 enthusiast. I have been averaging around 18 for mixed highway/city driving (a lot of stop lights and I accelerate pretty quickly). Only one extended highway trip and I got around 27 mpg.

I am averaging about 23-24, I drive a mix of city and highway. I noticed that the mpg gauge never tells me what I am actually getting.

I'm averaging about 28 mpg. 100 miles of highway driving a day. About 22-23 in town.

well its time for me to put some numbers here ,,,, before I mod my car i was doing around 28mpg on highway and around 22-23mpg in city ,,,

now with the bodykit / and the 3.9 FD
I get 21mpg on highway and 18mpg in city ...

the car has been in the garage for 2months and the batterie got disconnected so many times
something went wrong I guess , because I cannot understand how im getting those numbers ...

even my AFR gauge right now are reading 4.8 to 5.3 ,. during the install it did work perfect with around 14.7 on idle
I did try a second sensor but both read the same thing

More on the divergence of opinions: 1. Spark plug(s) condition(s). 2. Air filter
condition AND type. 3. Engine oil thickness (f'rexample: 0W-5, 10W-30, 20W-
50, etc.). 4. As said previously, driving style AND conditions (jackrabbit star-
ts, average speed, etc.). 5. Injector(s) condition. 6. Outside temperature. 7.
Throttle sensor/body condition(s)....The list goes on'n'on, m'friend. THAT be-
ing said, MPG averages of more than 20-21 (???) in city driving/stop'n'go traf-
fic...hmmm, "Dreamin', I'm always dreamin'", as the old song goes...
(Get a SCIENTIFIC calculator, Omegamanex).

I do all city driving, lots of stop and go. 700 miles on my '08 Touring and I'm currently getting 16.3 MPG, and I have no lead foot whatsoever. I even skip gears and cruise at 40 in sixth gear. I did own an '05 Touring 6MT for 3 years and never averaged over 17.5 MPG and I drove it pretty much the same way thanks to all the cops in this town.

How some of you claim to get 22 in the city is beyond me. Color me jealous.

'07 MT: I can get up to 23mpg on the highway and as low as 14mpg in the city.
AVG: 16.8mpg. I reset the MPG counter at every fill up.

Do not listen to this man. You can use regular or for even better mileage, blend diesel with E85 and you'll get close to 40 mpg.

I'm with you. I was getting around 15 mpg around town but have begun to focus on shifting just about 2,000 rpm's and I'm still only getting 19 mpg max in the city. In order to get this mpg, though, I have to don blue hair and turn far wide into turns that don't require me doing so. I am curious. What are these guys doing who claim to get 23 mpg in city driving?

OK. Let me pose the question: What are you guys doing that I'm not? We have virtually the same car with exactly the same engine but somehow you are getting far better gas mileage than me. I've never driven anything but a manual transmission and have yet to wear out a clutch. Also, I still have every car that I've ever owned in my 38 years on this planet -- currently the number is 4. Please let me know when and how you shift and whether you have AT or MT trannies.

Brad
