350Z Sales Figures dropping?
It does not surprise me when I drive to work, I always have to pass a Nissan dealership in the early morning hours. As I drive my commuter car (non-Z), I glance almost habitually to the dealership to see this red Z (w/Nismo rear spoiler) in an elevated platform sitting there since Dec. '07, if not longer. I see a lot of red, white, black and some blue sitting there for a while. Also on the same drive, I see buncha Vettes sitting and not moving. Given the food price and gas price crunch, it will be hard to find a buyer.

I saw a orange 350z in the median of 485 highway totaled. The car must've lost traction and spun out. The damage was pretty bad on the body. It looked like the base model cause of the rims but anyways it was pouring really hard that day and this is when the tornado passed by Charlotte, Nc and moved up towards VA which destroyed a **** load of houses on the way.

It shouldn't, and if it does, that is due to the arrogance of the enthusiast market. For someone to say they won't purchase a car because an automatic transmission is an option is just ridiculous.
The transmission does not make a car a sports car. An enthusiast does not only drive a manual transmission. I love cars, I love working on cars, I love reading, talking, and learning everything I can about cars, but I currently drive an automatic, and have only owned 2 manual vehicles since learning to drive. That makes me less of an enthusiast? Give me a break.
If someone says they don't want a 370z because they offer an automatic version, fine, they don't deserve one in the first place with that type of elitist attitude.
The car makes the car. The technology and research to develop the car make the car. Those who appreciate these things are the enthusiasts.
Those that only look at what kind of transmission it's rolling with and care about nothing more, are not.
The 370z will sell because it's something new. That's what people want.

I guess the GT-R blows your stupid analogy out of the water about exclusivity in buying M/T cars . . .

You missed the point though, kid. It's ok.
Why keep trying when you've already lost this argument?
Quite entertaining. You're like a monkey on a string. Keep dancing.
Perhaps spewing elitist rhetoric isn't the best tactic to use against people you can't walk with. Really, it just makes you look like a tool.

. I can't walk with you? What do you mean? You just became the "elitist" you labeled me as. Forum chumps like you are laughable... you have nothing better to do than sling insults?
I never said I had anything against someone driving an AT, I simply stated that the Z should come only in MT, and you get all worked up because you drive an AT
my opinion sucks, I know, but guess what, it hasn't changed b/c you call me "Sally" (oh-noes

Please. Don't try to cover up the fact that you were insulting people who drive AT's. Calling people who drive MT's the enthusiasts is basically calling the ones who drives AT's non-enthusiasts.
Sorry if you don't like it, but I'm going to toss trash on every single person who tries to play the "I'm a real enthusiast/driver/etc. because my transmission is a manual!!" card. It's nonsense.
I have nothing against you, other than the fact you appear to be part of the group that thinks people who drives manuals are the only people worthy of driving a sports car.
If you didn't feel this way, you never would have made such a statement that Z's should only be manuals.
More and more companies are putting high performance automatic transmissions in their cars because they are reliable and offer consistency. On the track, I'll take consistency over image any day of the week.

How this pertains to slumping sales figures, I don't know... so off topic we are.
The G is said to hold value more. Most people who don't know about either car think the G is faster and better. Ask 10 owners on the street which car they'd own and I bet 9/10 will say the G. That's why sales are higher for the G. People are uninformed about the Z. And yeah, the economy sucks.
