Default FYI: Dont leave your hood up when its really windy!!

So I had the hood up to put some washer fluid in my brand new car and the wind gust so hard that it slammed it back off the rod and the hinges actually bent the top corners of the fenders up about three inches. The hood was actually touching the windshield. So now it has to go to the body shop to get fixed. I dont even have plates on the car yet! Ive felt sick to my stomach all day.

It looked worse than this at first but I bent the corners back down as far as they would go.

Oh wow! Definitely not a good thing to happen while driving!

My insurance is covering it and my deductible is only $100 but that doesnt make me feel any better.

You'll only do that once, and hopefully a few people can learn from your mistake from you posting on here. Sucks, but accidents/sh$t happens.

Gravity and wind can be very cruel mistresses...on the bright side, $100 isn't too bad considering what needs to be repaired. I completely understand how you felt as this happened on a brand new Z...a Nismo no less, and hope you can get back on the road soon.
