Default Canadian Warranty Question

First post... I'm sure there will be many more.
I just bought a used 06' Z off an auction in the Washington. I live in Canada and the car will be registeres here. My question is will they honor the remaining warranty just the same as if it was bought in Canada? I have heard mixed things about this. The car is clean and has never been damaged or in an accident. Hoping you folks will have the right answer for me.

Just a note for future reference: regional posts are better answered in the appropriate regional forum.

If the car was registered in the US for at least 6 months before you buying it, then yes the remaining warranty transfers over, and is covered in Canada. Since yours is an '06, you're probably safe to say it does. Check the CarFax to be safe.

The carfax shows it's been owned and driven for 1yr and 8 months. I assume this means i'm good to go. One more thing, someone said that it's up to the individual dealership to honor warranty on u.s. cars. Anyone know whether this is in fact the case?
Thanks for the feedback guys

By law, dealerships have to honor the warranty (as long as it's valid), plus its in their interest to do the work since they get paid by Nissan to do the work anyway.

A similar comparison would be if you bought a car in Canada and drove it down to the US to visit, and had to have warranty work done, they'd have to cover it there as well...

Buying an american z with a warranty still valid in canada, you can still extend your warranty at the dealer if you want right?
