Default FREE Brand New Motor - FREE Swap - Nissan Authorized

UPDATE -

I have more than enough candidates now since NNA is only choosing two. Please, no more PMs as I am no longer adding people to the list. Congratulations to those on the list below and good luck to all of you. The two lucky people chosen will be announced, in this thread, as soon as the Nissan Representative makes his decision.

List of Eligible Candidates: (in no particular order)

- 350z2k3
- R4v3rb01
- ickysz
- carisma4321
- bigcloud
- Stailey
- 350zQ45a
- SuperBlack350z
- Blasian
- Lightning Guy

To the two who are chosen:

You will be contacted by the Nissan Representative and given the dates on which your cars will need to be at the local Dealership for the swap. All details will be provided by the Nissan Representative. All that I ask is, if you are chosen, please do NOT flake out and fail to deliver your vehicle. Please make certain that you are 100% capable of following through with this offer. If any of you on the list are not 100% certain, please PM me now so that your name might be removed.

Also, please make certain to leave a post about your experience once completed. (whether good or bad) I'm sure we are all looking forward to hearing about how this all turns out.

Thanks, again, everyone and GOOD LUCK to those above.

STOP!!

Please read ALL of this post first! Most, if not all, of your questions will be answered below.

Fair Warning - if you PM me with a silly question or one that has been answered below, I will NOT respond. Feel free to PM me with any questions that I may have overlooked that are PERTINENT to this post.

Ok, now to the meat of the matter. I have been authorized by a Nissan Representative to offer TWO (2) lucky people a complete and FREE motor swap with a BRAND NEW VQ35DE for their used motor. Nissan wants your old motors to break down, diagnose, and research. Here are the Pros and Cons:

Pros:

- FREE BRAND NEW VQ35DE motor with FREE installation swapped for your old "crusty"
- 12 month or 12000 mile Warranty on new motor
- and best of all - FREE BRAND NEW VQ35DE motor with FREE installation!!

Cons:

- If this is your daily driver, you must have other transportation or somehow allot for the few days it will take to perform the swap

Caveats:

- Your car must be a 2003 or 2004 model
- Your car MUST BE normally aspirated and have no INTERNAL engine mods (pop chargers, drop-in air filters, plenums & plenum spacers, etc. all ok...but, must be put back to stock before being taken in to the Nissan dealership)

And now for the Q&A:

Q - Is this a scam?

A - No, this is not a scam. I am not from Nigeria. Nissan wants to research high mileage motors from their original production cars (03-04) to see how the motors are holding up under 'normal' wear and tear conditions.

Q - What, EXACTLY, is the criteria I must meet to be eligible?

A - Nissan will be choosing two cars from the 2003 / 2004 year models. One will have 70k - 89k miles and the other 90k+ miles. Both must be NA and have no internal engine modifications.

Q - My car has below 70k miles. Can I toss it on a Dyno or can you wait while I put mileage on the car?

A - NO. Nissan wants 'normal' wear and tear. Not 5-15k miles on a Dyno. And they want the cars ASAP.

Q - I have a turbo / supercharger on at the moment. Can I put it back to stock and be eligible?

A - NO. Nissan wants 'normal' wear and tear.

Q - How long will I be without my car?

A - 3-5 business days barring any unforeseen incidents

Q - Will they do more than a 12 month / 12,000 mile warranty since it's a new engine?

A - NO. Even though you are getting a BRAND NEW motor, Nissan will only warranty it for this time period. Remember, you had NO warranty before receiving a new motor.

Q - Do I have to be local to Atlanta or Georgia for that matter?

A - No. As long as you can transport your vehicle to and from Atlanta, GA, locale does not matter.

Q - How do I make this happen??

A - PM me your current mileage, year model, availability, any modifications done to the vehicle, your name and a good contact number. I will have the Nissan rep contact you if you fully qualify. If you do not PM me all information asked for above, I will disregard it. So please be thorough in your response.

Ok guys / gals. I've tried to answer all questions I would ask if I were being offered a new motor. Please feel free to PM me with any that I may have missed, but remember, no idiotic ones!

EDIT -

A few good questions have come in that I overlooked. They are:

Q - What does the motor consist of?

A - As far as I know, it is consists only of a new long block. All of your other components will be re-used.

Q - Is Forged Performance doing this work?

A - NO. FP is not, at all, involved with this offer. This is direct from NNA and all work will be performed at a local Atlanta dealership. Please do NOT call Forged Performance or PM/email/ or otherwise contact Sharif asking about this offer.

Hmmmm...

Nissan is a multi-billion dollar corporation. If they wanted 2 high mileage 350Zs, why not just buy them? What would that set them back? $30,000? A drop in the bucket.

that begs a good question... Forged Performance has nothing to do with this and all work will be done by a local Atlanta Nissan dealership...
