Bringing my Z to work on a good day, i have a few people now and then offer me a good price for the Z. Not as much as i spent as far as modding, but more than what i originally bought it for stock (auction). But i love my Z and to me it's priceless. But Daves right as far as looks, u'd have to find someone like you who loves the way the car looks. And personally i dont like to buy a modded car because i deff know it's been Driven hard or beat up bad!!!
Here's what mine looks like.

Speaking of what a cars worth, my girl just bought a modded 06 Evo IX, and now yours truly has to fix the damn Ghetto rigging job of the previous owner. Thank god it's not as bad as i thought, but still a frustration. Buying new Performance parts as we speak!!
DAMN~now i have to Turbo the Z to keep up!! haha

Here's you go...

https://my350z.com/forum/zs-and-gs-for-sale/347252-for-sale-2003-black-touring-show-car.html

.. this is a good example. That car is comparable to yours in age, mileage, mods, etc. Look how long he's been trying to sell it and how much he's asking. Browse through the Cars for Sale forum and you'll see a couple of heavily modded cars for sale. Note how long they've been on the market too. You might want/need to factor that into your decision on selling it modded or returning it to stock.

yeah, i suppose it's time to find out what i can sell all the parts for...and return it back to bone stock...which sucks.

To those that say "if you can afford the Z06..you can keep them both"...you haven't done your research lately. Right now, you can get into a Z06 for mid-high 50k mark on ebay. I'm guessing that once the summer passes...and people can't move them...it'll be closer to the high 40k mark. Considering what I paid for my Z, and the money I've already got into it...and then maybe going FI...i'm not far off having a Z06 at that price.

I think it has nothing to do with owning a Z...it has to do with the fact that it's a car that, in stock form, can run low 11's in the 1/4 mile!! I think that some guy has even broken into the high 10's(very high) on DRs!! That's a beast of a car...especially without having to mod it!

I'll snap some pics if I decide to get rid of the Z. 3 of the rims are flawless...one has a little rash tho...

^i am considering selling my car as well, (not anytime soon) for a Z06. I have way too much love in my ride to part it out. i will have to throw it on ebay and get lucky. good luck with your sale.
