This is probably a really nooby question but i see everyone saying i have an 04.5 i have a 04 but i don't know if its a .5, and if it is whats the difference between the regular 04 and the .5
for a little more description, if your VIN ends with a number 16000+ (I think thats the number) its a 04.5, if its below that its an 04.
I'm not sure about how many zeros follow the 16, but I know its 16000, or 1600 or soemthing like that.

Here's the only REAL way to tell....
2004 Nissan 350Z Coupe/Roadster (Coupe VINs up to D*4T160000,E*4T060000) (Roadster VINs from D*4T102001 to D*4T110000 & from A*4T002001 to A*4T010000)
2004.5 Nissan 350Z Coupe/Roadster (Coupe VINs from D*4T160001, E*4T060001) ( Roadster VINs from D*4T110001, A*4T010001)
If the letter before the 6 digit serial number is "M" instead of "T", it's a 2004.5 because it was produced at the Oppama plant.

There was a half-year model release. Changes significant enough to make a difference between the 2003-2004 and 2005 models. Same thing happened in 2006 with the 2006.5 model - it's main (and maybe only) difference is the intelligent air bag system.
