'04 Lemans Sunset Dies a Fiery Death
Here's another disturbing article about the death of another Z.
Happened last night not too far from where I live.

<!-- end BYLINE --><!-- Dateline --><!-- End Dateline -->Two people were killed early today when a car going a high-rate of speed violently crashed and set a medical clinic on fire in the Puyallup area.
One man was ejected from the orange 350 ZX and died. Another person died in the vehicle, the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department reported.
The crash charred the outside of Summit View Clinic but no medical records were lost, deputies reported. No one else was injured in the crash.
According to witnesses, the car was going at least 100 mph north on Canyon Road about 1:25 a.m. The driver tried to make a turn just north of 112th Street and lost control, Pierce County sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer said.
The car slid sideways, leaving 191 feet of skid marks. The car went over a curb and up more than 30 feet up and over a concrete wall and then through a metal fence, Troyer said.
During the crash, the gas tank apparently was ripped open, and a fire ignited as the car flew through the air. The car was airborne for about 85 feet before landing on the roof in the driveway of the clinic.
The clinic caught on fire.
The man who was ejected landed on a rock near the clinic, Troyer said. The second person was found badly burned in the car. Investigators believe they have identified the two and were working to notify their families, Troyer said.
The car was registered to a Parkland car lot.
Investigators found a gun inside the car. No other information about the weapon was immediately available. Investigators took measurements out at the scene before removing the car by 6:30 a.m. <!-- AP COPYRIGHT --><!-- Component: Tacoma : pubsys/production/story/asset/ap_copyright.comp --><!-- Component: Tacoma : pubsys/production/story/asset/ap_copyright.comp --><!-- end AP COPYRIGHT -->

I live a few miles away from this accident
There are two lights within 300 yards of the scene.
Although it happened early in the morning, no turns at the point of impact, just out of control driving. Sad that the mistake took their lives, and the familys will have to indure the pain and suffering for it!!!

And while that is kind of sad, and I won't pretend I don't speed, for you to skid about 200 feet, hit a curb, go over a fence, fly 80 some feet, then hit a building, I can't feel bad for you. The speed you have to be going is ridiculous, especially on what seems to be a curved city street. Sometimes there are 3 lanes in a straight line where that type of speed, while illegal, is not dangerous for the road. However, that is rare, and I can't imagine ever doing anything that dangerous.
Not everyone who can afford a Z is a smart or a good person. Sad, but it happens.

I'm not sure which direction he was coming from but the turn onto 112th St. is your typical left or right hand turn.
But yeah..to be slideways for almost 200' and then airbourne another 85'....He was way passed his limits of driving skill, way past the limits of the now decieced Z.
I would like to plant a cross at that spot for the Z...I would leave something for the driver but I'n fressh out of Darwin Awards.
