Default 05 350z not cranking after replacing fuel pump

Someone plz help. My 350z wasn’t started in 7 years. It just cranked but didn’t start. I replaced the fuel pump which was 100% needed I pulled the old one and was seized. I drained all the gas and vacuumed out the sludge in the tank. Put new gas in. And now the car won’t even crank over. Also replaced the battery and connectors. Also don’t know if this is a separate the soft top doesn’t work. Only 30k miles on the motor. Could I have done something wrong with the pump for the car not to crank? No codes on the reader. Checked nessasry fuses too they look good. Thank s for any help!

Welcome- if the Z won't crank, you likely have a starter issue. I'd start by checking the wiring connections to the battery and starter, including connections and grounds. No telling what kind of installation problems you might have with the fuel pump itself, What kind of fuel pump did you purchase? OEM is usually your best bet.

You might also want to check the NATS security system. After seven years of not running, the chipped key may not be unlocking the system.

The fuel pump I bought off Amazon. I’ll look into the starter stuff. Thank you. And the key unlocks everything and when I turn the key the anti theft does go off. Right before we changed the fuel pump we hit it with starting fluid and it ran for like 3 seconds. I really am trying not to take it to the dealer. Thank you for the responses. For only 30k miles 1 owner hopefully won’t be anything to serious.

Sorry to say, I'm on my THIRD fuel pump from Amazon for my '07 Nissan Versa SL HB. Wish I'd have spent more for an OEM pump to begin with! One suggestion is to put a charger on your battery and keep trying to get the pump going to build fuel line pressure. It took me a few days and lots of cranking to get my last cheapo fuel pump to get going...
