I've always thought that people should be handcuffed to their cart when they leave the store. The cuffs would be electronically opened when the cart is returned to a cart rack or to the store. I've seen carts left in a parking place right next to a cart return rack. Don't know about other places but around here you'll find carts left all over the lot so I always park way up towards the end where there generally are no cars or carts.

I remember going to Target once and there was this Mercedez with 4 carts around him. I felt so bad I started to remove each cart before I head into the store.

Jerks.

But that's when the cart gets speed and hit your car with full impact.

be pro active and:

1. Move carts that have the possibility of rolling into your car when you get out.
2. Park in the very back or in the very front or away from the cart parking areas.
3. take yo' beater to get what not that involves grocery carts.

The irritation will pass....your lucky it wasnt as bad as mine. I pulled part of the front bumper out and bent it for my first qoute on qoute "ding"

still split on repair... i called dent wizard people, said they'd tell some marketing manager to call me in a day or so. they said they do estimates w/ insurance, but would that increase my premium? Should I just see what they quote w/o insurance?

at this point i'm just trying to get a feel for the price, then i'll decided whether i'll fix it.

Join the club dude. I've got five on my passenger side in the form of a nearly perfect L shape and several more on my driver's side.
And one nice Hispanic gentleman was even kind enough to leave me one while I was sitting inside my car.
Stricter immigration laws FTMFW!!!!!

Sorry to hear about the first ding. Mine first was a very sad moment as well... then the next day someone backed up with a trailer hitch and smashed it through my front bumper then drove off.
