Hey guys,
You might want to look at the Ravelco. We've been installing them in California for about 4 years now. Great product. The manufacturer's sold over 3,500,000 units and hasn't had a vehicle stolen by bypassing the Ravelco.
The 350Z has a great place to mount the base unit, low on the left side of the dash.

To the OP, did you talk to your auto insurance company? It is in their best interest to help you. Otherwise, more than likely they will have to pay for a stolen car. On top of that, they will also likely lose a customer - you. I don't think you want to continue buying insureance from them. I would also file a police report on the stolen key to make sure it is official.

Yes. www.RavelcoSecurity.com
Rob is there and he's a good guy.
We have the California distributorship, and there are distributors all over the nation.

Thats why I leave my keyes in my bedroom so no one can break in and I won't notice. Plus a nice 12 gauge would teach them a lesson or too. If it were me I would have ran after the little **** and kicked his *** so bad his mother wouldn't have reconized him. Proud to live in USA

Do they sell "Clubs" (or similar devices) in the UK?
Thieves are inherently lazy. It takes some work to dismantle/disable a "Club".
Aside from that, it seems as if you are taking the proper measures to prevent further potential for theft, but just in case, sleep with the keys to your Zed underneath your pillow.

Don't go to the Nissan stealership; go to your nearest Lock Shop, & get a new
set of locks for your beaZt's doors/ignition. The stealership is ALWAYS more expensive.

Of course there is a way to throw in a kill switch. As a Honda owner, they all do it. It looks like a NOS switch that you flip and can mount anywhere. The obvious yet common place is under the dash. I usually put it somewhere crazy. If it were me, in that little change cubby next to the shifter. I don't need one because I have the same alarm as you. Viva VIPER!

Guys,
The way theives go about stealing your car is they get in the passenger compartment and stick their head under the dash. That is where the wires are that they need to start the car AND it's where every alarm and kill switch is wired in. The theif is in their comfort zone under the dash. They just trace the wires back and reconnect the factory wires. This is why alarms like the Viper, Clifford, Automate, Python, etc. are all installed. Any toggle switch is easily seen and thrown.
What makes the Ravelco different is the wires are protected with steel conduit and all connections are made in the engine compartment.
Theives do not want to pop the hood and start going through the engine's electrical system. Especially on a 350Z.
It would take a theif way to long to figure out where our connections are made so you have ample time to
* see them
* grab your club of choice
* wander out to your car
* and go about the process of insureing they're incapable of leaving the scene.
That's what I like about it.
