Default Old Woman smashes my Z!!!PICS

So, I am driving to my work this afternoon around 4pm, I come to a set of lights which allow people off the freeway and on to the road I am on. they turn red as I approach and I stop as does a guy coming the other way who wants to turn in front of me to join the freeway.

The traffic exiting the freeway has the green and is crossing in front of me when a white Suzuki Vitara comes FLYING through the red light from the opposite direction from me, and slams into the side of a POS red escort (I think)!!!!!

In the split second I see this and think DAAAAMMMNNNN!!! the red POS spins like a top and comes hurtling towards me. before i can move or do anything he tags me.

Police, Insurance and Ambulances ensue. the old woman had her 8 yr old grandkid in the car and his dog (which wasnt wearing a belt, natch) she was beat up from the air bag, the kid had not a mark on him.

The guy in the red POS was super lucky not to be worse off from a t boning like that. he was walking around and said he was fine but, his ribs were bright red on that side so i think it was shock that was making him walk about.

My left arm is sore as...! which is the side that got hit the window is about 3 inches away from the roof now and i had to get out the passenger side.

I just had the hood and front bumper resprayed less than a month ago from stone chips.

I am pretty pissed as the woman was saying to me"I had the green right?that guy came out of nowhere and hit me!!" she got mad when I said it was her that ran the light, but a bystander stopped and the police spoke to him first and he said the same thing.

On a lighter note the pain meds i have are very strong and i will check this in the am for gibberish

ouch!!! Sorry to hear about this. Even though the women is at fault, insurance companies encourage their customers to not admit fault. Glad you're okay and the Z looks to be fixable from what I see.

because it's cheaper when the police decides both at fault for any reason than you admitting you did it.

Hopefully she has enough coverage to cover both you and the red pos. Watch out for the pain meds... possible cautions... don't drink while on them, etc...

I say we pass legislation that requires senior citizens to be tested more frequently if they want their driving priveleges.
