How do I preorder?

I know this is a stupid question, but I figure I'd ask it anyways. But how do you preorder a 350Z convertible? I've asked a couple of dealers, who just say "we don't have any info. give us your name and we'll contact you when we get some info." I'm sure there's another way other than through the dealer. I'd appreciate any info/advice.

I doubt that Nissan will be doing a Pre-order program like they did for the coupe. For those individuals that put in their order requests with the dealers prior to Nissan issuing the necessary order paperwork all you can do is leave your name with the dealer and wait until Nissan allows them to start ordering.

Unless Nissan allows the consumer to complete an "order form" on their web site like they did before your only option is the dealer.

Nissan does not plan a pre-order for the Convertible like there was for the coupe. The volumes are much smaller. Best bet is to get to the dealer and lay down a deposit now to get their first allocation.

A friendly warning about leaving your name on a list for the convertible at the dealer. Get a few names (business manager, sales manager, etc) and follow up with them constantly. (I was #1 on the list to pre-order the Z at my dealer and with staffing changes and whatnot, my name got lost and now I'm number 7.)
