For the record - I don't even own my Z yet. I am buying it soon as my second car to my new G35S Sedan. I'm trying to decide between roadster and coupe - and new or used. But I've been researching and I've driven them all...and in doing so determined exactly what I will change, and planning my mods now.

I mean...a loaded Boxster will cost almost twice as much, and for not that much more performance. Just more leather. heh heh.

And having had Mercs, Bmw's, Audis, Volvo's etc...buying any of those past the 5-6 year mark is asking for trouble if you want hassle free driving. But I do wish him the best. I would suggest a warranty if you can get one. The 01's had top issues Ithink.

Just my .02.

Hey now... In defense of Jeep here. I have a 05 Grand Cherokee Limited and the paint is way better than my Z. I have to wax and polish my Z twice a month to keep it looking good and I just drive it back and forth to work. My GC goes through the mud, dust and dirt frequently and still looks good with an every 2 month wax. IMHO, there is no comparison.

Maybe I’m just lucky with the GC and unlucky with the Z?

And how much is the mercedes tranny...?

By the way, of course its going to be expensive to replace something like a tranny on the Z because its a sports car.

I found all this out in my first test drive. The Z is a nice car, hands down. You are a little confused, which is okay, everybody is entitled to their decisions. But...you don't have to dog the car and then say "I liked it". Either you do like it or you didn't, lol. Personally, I didn't want to write this post, but I am.
