My 350 sits in the garage the first sign of it being cold. It gets a good wash in and out, and then it sits inside the garage. All warm and covered.

What do you suggest the best tires would be for the Z? I have heard Blizzak's are the best winter tires for the Z. Opinions?

buy a beater and drive that. It will make you feel that much better about your car when you go to get back in it after the snow season is up.

A good set of Dunlop Winter Sport M3, judicious application of throttle and brake and you're good to go.

Mine sat in the garage for a total of 3 days last winter - the big blizzard that dropped 20 inches over 2 days. Snow only stays on the streets for about 24 hours max here. I will stand by my post that the couple of times I drove on snow it has pretty harrowing; yeah the main streets get cleared pretty quick but even in Hilliard, the side streets are an entire different matter and my Z could barely make it up my street. That was on brand new Kumho ASX 275 rear/245 front. And I've been driving in snow for 30 years. Just not worth it IMHO, but to each their own.

It's not even the snow you should be worried about. Its the damn salt and other **** they dump all over the road. I know I don't want to clean my car in 30 below weather every day I have to drive it on salty roads.

I don't want to own two cars either.....

I'm not sure what I'm going to do this winter.

I've driven mine the past 3 winters, and I'm from the snow belt near the lake by cleveland. You must get snow tires first... the stocks are dangerous in freezing temps, or even a light dusting. I've used blizzaks on 17" OEM wheels to give an idea of what you may want to get. The TCS/VDC does help a great deal in controlling the car, and I've never gotten stuck... you just need to be weary of 5+ inches on the ground, as the Z's ride height comes into play here.

You're fine as long as you have snow tires. I've had mine through the past few winters and I've never had a close call or been stuck.

Take the $1000 you would spend on snow tires and buy a beater. You'll be much happier without salt on your Z all winter long. My Z has never seen road salt, and it won't as long as I own it.

That definitely seems most logical! I'd be paranoid as hell about what the salt was doing underneath too ....
Should be able to muster a 4X4 for cheap enough anyways .....

That **** just eats up cars and wheels man. I really don't want a second car, but it looks like I have no choice. I'M NOT GOING TO GET ANY SALT ON MY CAR. No chance.

+1 People see you and they are like wow those drifts were soooo cool... You meant to do that right!?

And you reply "Of course"

Then say a quick prayer because you are still alive.
