How fast have you gone?
With no GPS proof you cant argue that at 150+mph or these crazy 180+mph claims most are easily 20mph off, if not more.
My bike is way off, my friends R6 is way off. Go look up videos on youtube of actual vs displayed.
The burden on proof is on you, but hey you can blow smoke up your own a$$ all day long...
edit-video of a mod'd K5 on YT, at indicated 186mph its 172mph actual ON A DYNO. With wind resistance you wont hit 170mph, not even close.
Adding an air filter and a PC (you dont mention if its actually tuned or a BS downloaded map) wont overcome a good 20mph from a stock GSXR750.

w/ one smaller rear sprocket its more likely however 186 is pretty unlikely, custom tune or downloaded on the pc?

"How fast have you gone?" is like starting a thread entitled:
"How many women have you slept with?"
or
"How big is your *******?"
or
"How much money do you make?"
You just KNOW the BS is gonna run waist deep.

I'm stationed in Belgium so the autobahn is right up the road (figuratively speaking). I hit the governor at 146-148 in my 95 BMW M3. Wish I had my twin turbo 350z over here for another go at the autobahn. My VW Polo doesn't quite cut it, haha.
In 2002 purchased a new Kawasaki ninja zx7r and six of us riding in a pack heading to the beach were all going 130mph, as it was a really long straight road I blasted my new 750 up to 173mph and the bike wanted more haha I let off at that point though. After we got back home a lady pulls out in front of me forcing me to hit the back of her car at 45mph totaling my new ninja. Never rode bikes again and went into sportscars. Only took my Z to 110 so far.
I've only read a couple of pages here and I agree with those arguing the sportbike speed claims.
On my 2006 CBR1000RR I've topped it out at 176mph (would reach slightly higher speed with different gearing). This is as true as it will get without GPS as I've got a speed corrector installed. I'm heavily modded though with a custom dyno tune to accompany all the power adders (HP #s are another argument). A stock bike will show speeds WAY over actual.
In my Z I've only gone up to 145mph. Surprisingly smooth for that speed.
And I agree, there is more fallacy to the responses here than truth, but it's a fun bragging thread I guess. Just thought I'd share some honest comments.

160 on the Digital Speedo, GPS Verified, No Cut off - I just let off cause I winning and it was pointless at that point. This was in my Bone Stock '07 Z
