I have a new ingredient for my bowl of the soup:
Tracking number = T308725
My salesman said he is expecting to get a VIN in about a week. Since I had an August build date, I'm guessing that means delivery should be somewhere around Halloween and definitely before Thanksgiving? I'd love to be able to go trick-or-treating as a 350Z owner...

Very Serendipidous! Found My Z
Heavens-to-Mergatroid!
Took me 7 solid days and over 100 dealer email contacts but I finally ordered my Redline Touring at MSRP. Here's the details
03.0 Z 56313 350Z Touring Auto AX6 Redline G Charcoal
Order No:V351905 Status:Firm ETA:Nov2002 Prod Mo:10/02
Options
AER Aerodynamics Pkg
AKP Alumnm Kick Plate
FLO Floor Mats
NAV Navigation System
SAB Side Air Bag/Curt
SGD Splash Guards 4Pc
TMA Carpetd Trunk Mat
50S 50 State Emission
Now then... are we sure that the new Z is not a perishable item? Maybe if we accidentally "drop" several cases of 25 Yr Scotch in the vicinity of the San Diego longshoremen mentioning that it was compliments of Tony Soprano.

Well, it's here! The first 350Z in Central Oregon! Expected delivery 10/10/02, but arrived the evening of 10/04. Received a call from my dealer at 8:00 PM Friday night that he saw the transporter coming in with the Z on the back. We drove down and took pictures as it was coming off! What a blast! I got to drive it from the transporter to the dealer garage that night. It had 8 miles on it.
We picked it up on Saturday the 5th around noon and went on a 156 mile jaunt into the Cascade mountains. What a trip.
All is well in Central Oregon!

Just to update the VIN soup, I received my car on Saturday, Oct. 5, with a scheduled delivery of 10/11/02.
What a dream car, more than I expected, so powerful, taut, and mean! The first one in Central Oregon, and loving every minute of it.
My wife and I drove 156 miles into the Cascade Mountains and back the first day Totally awesome!!
