My VIN is 107399 (Daytona Blue Performance). Ordered 7/18. Had a "W" order #. Dealer says 12/12.
There was a thread somewhere on what the 10 vs the 00 meant. Was it ever identified? Since I am a 10, and ordered after the preorders, does that mean that the 00's are preorders?Also, since I have the aero package, sounds like there are delays?!
I checked my dealer inventory, don't see my VIN. What is usual timing to see your VIN on the dealer inventory vs time of receipt? Anyone know how that system works?
I found a 007682 on a local dealer imventory Friday. Since I am 107399, wonder how that stacks up in the soup of why and how? How could that dealer get a 7682 before my 7399?

I got my VIN #107747 on 11/25/02. Car was ordered 10/01/02. My dealer tells me any day now. Not on NissanUSA dealer inventory yet. Daily trucking sheets have shown delivery to dealership anywhere from 11/26 to 12/28. No Z yet!
I will call NNA tomorrow to see if I can find out more as to this section of VINs.
I THINK, the "10" prefix signifies cars not in the pre-order program but continues the sequence of production.

VINs for December delivery
I gotta tell ya, Nissan North America's customer servise is terrific!
They were very helpful on tracking my Z, called me back TWICE to follow up and sent me a card in the mail expressing their appreciation as a customer.
ANYWAY, from what I have learned, Zs with VINs from approximately 7200 to 8200 are scheduled for delivery the last week of December or possibly the first week of January.

There has been a Z with a VIN of 7610 for the past two weeks at my dealership. My dealer told me that my car with a VIN of 8543 has just been off-loaded at port and should arrive "any day"
I have seen Z's with VIN 8100+ in the LA area on the nissanusa.com site.

I'm starting to get the itch! although with things like freezing rain, snow, and salted roads... i'm glad it hasn't yet arrived.

I received a call to come down and see my Brickyard Performance this afternoon. Now I have to wait until Monday afternoon to pick it up.
Ordered - 10/4/02
VIN # 1079XX - received 11/22
Supposed to arrive 11/26. 12/3...
Arrived 12/14
Pickup on 12/16
A little late for my birthday but I'm pumped!
