Congrats Wayne!

I received an update myself today from NNA consumer affairs.

My car is at the local port and waiting because of... tada.. the aero package. He said that there were so many more aero packages ordered than expected so that's why there is the delay. Sounds familiar. I asked him if I can have it delivered without it and he said it's a definate possibility but he can't contact the port until monday. So he will call me back then. I wish my dealer was a courteous as Nissan HQ.

Thanks, hokieman. I'm sure you will be drooling over yours soon. Not long to go now! Wayne

Good luck on getting it soon with or without the aero! If you don't mind saying which dealer did you use, Manassas or Tysons... or elswhere. I'm still waiting for Sheehy of Manassas. Looks like March , but by then I may be able to afford it

I originally had an order with Sheehy Manassas, but they are refunding the deposit on the one I ordered there when it shows up. Should be in a month. The one I have on order now is from Browns Nissan in Arlington. But the dealer isn't the one trying to get it shipped to me sooner, Nissan North America is trying to get it moving from the port for me without the aero. Browns in Arlington were pretty stereotypical salespeople, but they had one coming in sooner, so I went there. The people at Sheehy Manassas were very nice, I plan to use them for all of my service due to courtesy and location.

If you are interested in the one I ordered at Sheehy Manassas, I still hold the deposit on it, so you could probably grab it. It's a silverstone enthusiast with mats and kickplates. $200 under MSRP, was due there in Feb last I heard. My last name is Owens. You can ask them about it if you're interested.

Thanks for the info, but I can wait 'till february to get what I ordered. The only problem is I'm gettin too old to want time to fly! But OMG another silverstone, I wanted the only one! Almost merged into one on the beltway Thurs and followed one home up 28 thru Centreville tonight. I can wait, just going a little nuts. Sheehy has been okay except implying they could get it ealier than they actually could. They told me 60-90 days, they just didn't mention they couldn't order it for another 30 days. But they're still all over me the second I walk in the door making sure I sty happy. Guess they'd rather not have to sell it again. ttly

Touring, silverstone, everything 'cept aero and nav. Xnnnn order #, March delivery, no vin yet and NNA has been very good to me.

Default Month Early!

Got my Z January 2nd, a month + early! See the thread https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....threadid=15372 for all the details. Ordered September 20th, originally told it would be in mid to late February then two weeks ago I was told late January to early February. Never got the VIN (10551) until I got the car.

Brickyard Touring, AT, Frost Interior, side Air Bags and Head Curtains. Gorgeous!!!!

Dealer (Hayward Nissan, CA) has two Z’s on the floor ready to sell at MSRP (all of their Z’s including pre-orders are at MSRP). LeMans Sunset Track and a Daytona Blue (??? Model). Very pleased with the dealership!

Default Phone Call

A phone call goes a LONG way. Because I made a call to NNA, I will get my car earlier than expected. When I talked to them last week, I was informed that the car had been waiting at the port for a week because of a lack of aero packages. I told him "ship my car without it" and he said he would see what he could do. Now I was called today, saying not only had the aeros just arrived, but that he expidited my car, so that it would be the first to go out. So I will get my car a week earlier than the delayed date they gave me last week. Take 5 minutes to call, save 5 days. So sometime Wed-Fri of next week my car should arrive.

Sorry for the constant posts... I didn't know how efficient "expiditing" was. Not one day after, my dealership calls me. The car is in.

Yay!

Got the call yesterday! Too bad I'm in Florida for biz -- but at least I'm going home today, hopefully with enough time to pick it up tonight.

This wait has been brutal!

Ladies and Gentlemen....

The Soup is officially done!

My thanks to all those that contributed ingredients to the soup.

I think it's safe to say that while sometimes the soup made us anxious, in the end, we are all now enjoying what was served.

Also, thanks a lot for all of your hard work. I didn't pre-order, but placed a regular order in September. It was interesting, watching the soup be seasoned and brought to serving temperature. Great job.
