The Soup

 

Hey, Scaf, great work with the soup. I have a suggestion, though: I notice you can look at either "customers served" or other categories. What would be really useful would be you could see both "Anticipated delivery" as well as "Actual delivery". Then those awaiting their cars could have an idea if other cars in their area were delivered early, late, or on time.

 

Guess I'll be the first to stir the second course of soup.

Good idea, and it's a done deal.

I've added the "Anticipated Delivery" column to the "Customers Served" view. Unfortunately, the people who rec'd the first 3 cars had never advised their anticipated delivery, so the field is blank for them.

Just to clarify the "Anticipated Delivery" column - the date I put in here is the date people receive when they get their VIN's. I know many people have recieved various dates (or approximate dates) from their dealers, but I do not put these in the column. So it should hopefully be a fairly accurate comparison field.

How long before delivery has anyone got the actual date? I am hoping to get a week or twos notice so that I can sell my wonderful Mustang before the Z arrives. If I sell too soon, I will be stuck with my '65 Caddy for the commute, which is no fun on US19 with its little drum brakes, and only has AM radio for when I'm stuck in the traffic...

Anyone have an idea about why no VIN with a delivery date 2 weeks away. Only things I can figure are that they really do not know the #, they simply do not care, they're gonna try and pull some crap (like having to be there to get the car on a next day or worse notice), or they are holding the # so I might consider Nissan financing thru them. Addendum: I guess I should be thankful for where I am. I just looked at the SOUP. Lots of others worse off than me. Chin up.

To everyone posting VINs... why are you only posting the first part of the VIN? Everybody has the same first part... it's the last part that matters. I'm not suggesting that you post every number, but having a 10xxxx is worthless... at least get down to the hundred digit (mine was 1007xx)...
