I feel a lot of heat blowing in at my legs, like it coming in from the engine area. My '03 was the same. I've never looked for the source or noticed the floor. In the middle of summer here (105 - 120 degrees) it takes longer to cool down. Todays a cool day - only 105 degrees.

Are you guys new to driving? The hot air has to go somewhere, from the transmission and the engine. Touch your console after driving, and the things hot.

Please give a full description of conditions when this occurs. With A/C on or off? If off do you have the temp **** towards heat? On G35's even with A/C off but the temp setting even slightly toward heat (anything other than full cold) the blend door is open toward the heater core and allows heat to pass through. As for on my Z. I haven't noticed this. Peace.

Yup - I have felt the same....but since it is 100+ degrees for the forseeable future in DFW area, it's hard to tell the dif between the heat coming from the footwell area and my head bursting into flames

i've driven my car for like almost 3 hours straight and i think the only thing i hate is the massive amount of heat that comes out at the side of my car but nothing inside the car ever

My car is pretty new. Got it in March. 2008 model. 500 miles on it now. Have not felt the heat inside, but it's pretty hot in the enginge bay when I park it in the garage. My garage is pretty hot here in FL anyways, but it really gets hot after a drive and then parking the Z in there and closing the door. You can feel the difference as well as see it on a thermometer I have in the garage. I can't even touch the engine area brace for a split second. I have started leaving the hood up, cracking the garage door about 6 inches, and turn on the big garage drum fan. It seems to help. I will probably do this at least till it's broken in.
All the other cars / trucks I have owned never did this. But it's no big deal. I figured it's just the way it is with this car.

I live in Ohio, our ambiant temp has been 10 to 15 degrees lower than most. The engine bay is always very hot after most drives. The nature of the beast. The engine is sandwiched tight fender to fender. The exhaust manifolds are tight. Heat rises. It all makes sense. I have had mine 2.5 years and put 31k on it, never a problem.
