The quote I got is based on getting all the parts directly from the dealer so that's why the parts are so expensive. However, I don't have to go through the dealer for any parts if I don't want and the mechanic said he can try to find some used parts for me to save some cash. I took a quick look at the car when it was jacked up and the cross member and the shaft assembly are toast. The towing company managed to mangle my front bumper in around the passenger side.
Dude get some aftermarket rims as 1010tires.com they are local to you and a lot cheaper. For 2K you can get some nice 18's or 2600 or so some nice 19's lots of choice there.
I would be having a small time nissan garage do the work. Find out what suspension parts you need them search through www.car-part.com for the replacements. Thats a wrecker search engine that covers all north america, but you can look just in Canada or BC if you want. You will find a car with pretty well all the doner parts you need. I'm sure a stock suspension system could be had on these forums cheap too cause lots of guys goto full aftermarket stuff. I just threw out my stock suspension that had like 50k on it in the garbage cause I had no use for it.
I'm sure you could fix the damage for 2500 bux without the rims and get some nice rims for the car and be happy.
I did a very similar thing with my 350, but not nearly as bad as you since I wasn't going as fast and I was controlling my drift (to a degree, obviously).
My insurance would only let me get 2 wheels on the damaged side, which sucked.
But heres what I will say is wrong:
Your suspension on that side is done
Your suspension on the other side is likely jacked up
You probably will need a new steering rack and other steering components
I can't tell from your pics, but you may need new brakes as well
For me, I had to replace the entire side, knuckle, bearing, everything. My steering rack was fine, but I did have to replace the tie rods.
Insurance is wonderful, especially when your car starts sliding randomly when you were driving home from the grocery store

hope you're not planning on buying wheels from the dealer, aftermarket ftw! and we have good ones
but damn man im surprised if you hit it that hard almost completely parallel to the curb that it didnt bend something in the suspension, GL with it
search through www.car-part.com for the replacements.
Does any body have any good feedback from them?

wrt my insurance... they will only pay for the damage if i am found not guilty of the impaired charge. however, even if that it the case, I'll have to pay for the repairs myself and be reimbursed after the trial date (if it goes to trial).

and no i'm not 62. I wanted to get some helpful feedback before the thread gets flooded by smartass cliche responses pertaining to young drivers and why we shouldn't drink and drive.

And no, I dont drink and drive either. After having a good friend kill himself when his RX-8 flew off the road and rolled several times (alcohol involved), you can really see how little it takes for things to get ugly. I have no sympathy for those who drink and drive.
