Your resale value comparison to a previous generation C5 to a current generation 350Z is flawed to say the least “oh and by my research, there was a 9k difference in price, not 20k.” Right now, there is a 6k difference, so I fail to see your point. Wait till the 370Z comes out and watch the 350Z plummet in value.

Any 16 year old with an allowance and a driver’s license will be able to get one. You will be looking at a $12k car in another couple of years. Can you find a $12k Corvette in good shape of any year?

I do in deed like my car very much, I just find it immature to start blasting other people’s cars, especially when that car is not “junk.” You sound just like the boys on the Honda forums.

Service visits? Ask the guys on here who have lost engines to the infamous oil consumption issues. Not just once, but several times. Look for tranny problems in the early models.

The bottom line is that there is always a better car, no matter what you have. To randomly spew out that someones car is a piece of junk is just immature.
Jeez, man. If I wanted to argue with someone about how Z's AREN'T very good cars, I would go on a different forum, but I happen to like them and I have had good luck with mine. I'm seriously sorry if I offended you- we're all on this forum because we have a common love for Z's. I already admitted to being a car snob and yeah, I can come off as a little bit of a jerk regarding other brands, but my main point was that the Z was rated lower than the Vette and Mustang- and I happen to feel that the Z IS a better built, better looking and more trouble free car. And my family had issue after issue after issue our whole lives with domestic makes, but once we went to the Japanese brands, it's been smooth sailing since.
So I might have offended your taste in vehicles, but I didn't call you names. Instead of insulting each other personally (calling me imature), why don't we just agree to disagree and go back to being Z enthusiasts together?

Unfortunetely, domestic peices of junk like the Mustang and Corvette were ahead of the Z, but that's got to be due to the fact that there are more stupid people than educated people in this country. Yeah, I'm mean, but you know it's true!

Oh, and did I mention that the Miata, Eclipse and a Saturn were all ahead of a Lamborghini on the list as well? A Miata?!? Seriously- is that really considered a sports car?!? Forget it- don't even bother looking at this list- it was obviously organized by someone who drives a moped. "Oh no he di-in!"

I wouldn't go as far as calling mustangs and vettes domestic pieces of crap. Give credit to where it's due, the vette will annihilate the Z and mustangs will give you a run on a drag strip, they're not that bad looking either. The Mazda Miata is a sports car fyi. The eclipse I'd say would be a sporty coupe.

You act as if dissenting opinions are not allowed here. Many members on this forum own or have owned Nissan products, yet decided to move on to something else.

You say you havent any issues with your Nissan, well bud, alot other have (if you bothered to read more parts of this forum, you would see). Likewise, I haven't any problems with my vette yet and it doesn't rattle. Yet my 350Z did. Corvette reliability is up there alongside the 350Z. So don't act as if it's a sh*tty build car, because you are wrong.

Sorry your car did not make the top of the list, but it happens. Enjoy what you got and don't berate others for what they drive. There is a difference between being a car enthusiast and a fanboi...

its okay... my Z is on top of my list behind the gtr. It's from MSN.com anyways... who cares. THey had that article about 20 most dangerous cars, talked about the Z having double an average sports car death rate & it didnt even make there list for being a dangerous car.

The Z has actually dropped a little on that list. I remember looking at that list earlier in the year and the Z was third on the list behind the Mustang and Corvette. I also would not call the Ford Mustang junk.

1. Ford Mustang

When the latest Mustang debuted in 2005, its flashback styling tapped into a deep well of American automotive lust. Its retro design — plainly displayed via round headlights, triangular windows, three-element taillights, and galloping-pony grille — only added appeal to one of the last affordable American sports cars. The Mustang continues to be one of the most popular cars in the Ford lineup, offering a variety of performance options, including a 300-horsepower V8 engine.

2. Chevrolet Corvette

Long an American icon, the current Corvette is also a world-class, high-performance sports car. For the 2008 model year, a new LS3 6.2-liter V8 gives the Corvette an extra 30 horsepower and 24 lb-ft of torque. With the new mill cranking out 430 horsepower and 424 lb-ft of torque, it surprisingly achieves an impressive 16 mpg in the city and 26 mpg on the highway. For a bit more punch, there’s the limited-edition Corvette Z06 that boasts a 7.0-liter V8 producing 505 horsepower. Need more power? Later this year Chevrolet will bring out the Corvette ZR1 with 638 horsepower and a top speed in excess of 200 mph.

+1 what's with all the corvette lovers on this site lately?

Isn't there a corvette site they can visit to compare mullets and gold chains?

This site is for "Z" enthusiasts! at least I thought.

Can't you guys own your Z's without being so insecure that you have to be an obvious bigot about the majority anything that isnt a 350z?

I can't believe someone called a corvette junk, and then someone else called the corvette a straight line beast. vettes are good in turns too. I would have got a vette if they had a nicer interior. maybe the c7 will.

Mullets = Camaro
Gold Chains = Third Gen Camaro's

I know why most Z owners hate the Vette. I'd be pissed too if my 40K dollar Nismo Z was 1.5 seconds slower in the quarter mile and got worse gas mileage then the LS3 Vette for the same money.
