Question about Passenger air bag on/off switch

I was wondering if any of the Nissan insiders know anything about the:
Passenger air bag on/off switch
It is listed on nissan's page has an accessory, but with (late availability).
First question is how late?
And will Nissan be charging for this? and if so how much?
I know with younger children and pregnant women it is advised to turn this saftey feature off. So I'm sure this applies to quite a few of use out there.
Since it is a two seater I was under the impression that it needed to have an on/off switch by order of the NHTSA. Even my 99 Dodge pickup had one.
Any insight would be helpful...

You have to submit a request form to the Feds. Once you get approval, you then take that approval to Nissan and they order the switch for install. No idea how much the switch/install will cost. I am waiting for the approval form right now.
BTW, you need a VIN to submit the form.
I posted the URL a few weeks ago in this forum, search should find it.

The latest updates at nissandriven.com list a passenger airbag cutoff switch as an accessory with "late availability."
Anybody have any more information on this? This is a feature I'd really like to have in case I have to carry a little one unexpectedly...
