Any pulse in the brake pedal , badly warper rotors can also cause that.

Here are the possible causes:

- rims unbalanced
- rim bent
- lug nuts not tightened properly
- rotors warped
- alignment off

That is just about ever problem right there. No matter where you go, if you ask them to see if it needs a balance or alignment, they'll tell you yes. Why? That is how they make money.

Did you put the same old tires on new rims? Or new tires as well? Dismounting and remounting low pro tires can damage them. But I think it is the balancing as well. Did you put the rims on yourself? Did you balance them? New rotors...should be good...warping rotors takes alot of extreme braking and/or heat. Any suspension upgrades? Maybe something is loose. All in all being it only happens at certain speeds, my best guess would be balance. Next in line, broken tire beads.

Sentences always appreciated. It’s the adult thing to do.

How many fraction questions can you ask in a sentence, davidv? Take notes from spirey because I didn't understand one thing he said.

Easy fellas, easy. I could cut to the chase or write a page for you to read. Asking those questions, and if answered could lead right to the problem. Are we here to bash each other or help out? Although it says Germany on my location, dont be fooled, I'm USA born and bred. Also, a mechanic. Sorry if you dont understand the simple terms above.

You just got new rims. Its more than likely a balance issue. Take it to the shop that sold you the rims and tell them to fix it. If you bought them online or something, take it to a shop that can balance rims.

The gear you are in shouldn't matter...but most of the time balance issues appear at a certain speed. (Say...60-80?) If it vibrates any time the car is moving....you may have a more serious issue.

Don't want to point out the obvious, but can't you diagnose the problem if you are a mechanic? I could be completely wrong, what type of mechanic are you?
