my delivery in Boston
I find it incredible that Nissan is delivering Z's in California and my Z won't arrive till October when I was the second to order it at my dealer on 1/16. Doesn't Nissan realize we have winter here and won't be using our Z's and the west coast should have gotten them last. I find it hard to believe there is a two month difference. What happened. I suggest Nissan do some customer relations to explain to us why.
If you look through the threads you will find you are not alone, it appears that the order you placed your order in doesn't seem to matter, Nissan has built them in batches and the last person could get his before the first person that ordered if it fit the batch they were building, you may have been the first at your dealership but there are 3000 other first at other dealerships.

First of all, NO car company looks at weather patterns around the country for delivery schedule of YOUR vehicle. Second, I understand your concern, but don't deprive CA of the Z delivery until October because we've got the best weather on the planet!

I spoke to my dealer in the Boston area on 8-17. He had a printout listing the delivery of my car on 9-20.
He commented that it could actually be sooner, as deliveries are going better than expected!
I was the 16th of 18 allocations to this dealer; ordered 3-21-02

pgold i understand your fustration, i ordered mine mid april, the dealer screwed up my order so my order did not enter the system untill june. Now my salesman tell me that I'll get mine mid sept, but he has not provided me any VIN number so I really don't believe him.
At the moment i'm really fustrated with nissan NA and the dealer, i call NNA to ask about my VIN and they tell me I should talk to my dealer, the dealer feeds me some standard BS.
