I couldn't agree more with the OP. I don't want to discourage you, you seem like a "real" enthusiast, but I sure hope "ricer" Z owners move on to another car. Its becoming common on the streets and more and more ignorant kids are starting to buy them in high school. I love my Z, its an amazing machine for the money you spend for it right out of the box, its just ricers buy it to look cool for racing cars on the streetz and burning out at the malls.

Very nice write up...

I just finished rebuilding a totaled Z and while doing this, gained a lot of respect for them. Very well built car and quite a nice piece..

What the hell are you talking about and did you even READ my original post?

it's my opinion on the 350Z--I'm pretty sure other people here would be interested to hear what other enthusiasts think about the Z--owners or not. Everyone always wonder this. "I wonder what Corvette owners think about my car" is an example.

READ IT AGAIN YOU IDIOT

Truth be told i could care less what you or anyone else thinks of my Z. I bought it cause i like/love the car. Im a leader not a follower, im not going to buy something because other people like it. I like to stand out in the crowd as the one person who is different.

In the real world this is all that matters. IF I LIKE IT!!

i agree with everything you said, no matter what people say about the 350z i still love the 350z, they just need to take one for a spin and their thoughts would probably change.
my thoughts about the 350z changed when i took it out for a test drive before buying it and been loving everything about the car ever since even though its just a base model

It's pretty easy to love your car when it's some kind of a star destroyer wrecking all sorts of worlds. (a la GTR or GT3)

I love this Z car despite all it's flaws and notoriety. All call me a fanboy all you want, but there is just something about it that makes me feel damn good and I've driven alot of cars.

So to all the naysayers....*** them.

I've had the Z for a month or so now. Before this I had a E46 M3, and I can honestly say, that I like both of the equally. The M3 was great, but I don't miss it at all when I'm the Z, which surprised me! I've actually gotten more compliments in my Nagaro Red Z then my Imola Red M3.

After considering many options for a sports car, I settled on the Z and couldn't be happier. I only wish that mods other than FI would add more power.

Sorry but that was anything BUT unbiased. Lol.

You try telling the members over at evolutionm that their cars are just sporty family sedans and you'll be made to eat your words. How a car looks is pure preference, some people actually like how the evo looks BECAUSE it's a sedan. Not only can it seat 4 comfortably, possess a big trunk, but it will also hand a 350z its *** any day on the track stock for stock.

As for s2000s, I read MANY topics on this forum regarding them. Truth is, s2000 shoppers and 350z shoppers aren't the same kind of people. The only way you can drop the top on a 350z is to buy the roadster, which imo and many will agree, looks down right awkward. Not to mention it is heavier and slower. I won't touch the performance aspect because that seems to be a touchy subject on this forum. But the one thing most WILL agree on is that s2000s are much more fun to drive. You can bag on them for being cheap all you want, but the truth is s2000s have a better gearbox, and better fuel economy for similar performance. I'm not talking about torque in daily driving, 350z wins there hands down.

You can like the 350z, you can even talk smack about other cars. But I wouldn't talk down on cars that can hand you your *** on the street OR track such as evos.

By the way I own a 2002 s2000 and my friend owns a 2007 350z. Those who have spent time around and in both cars will understand what I mean.

My Z eats Evos for breakfast in autocross . . .

Yes, I'm being sarcastic since most enthusiasts will tell you that it's about the driver, not the car. Heck, we have a driver in our autocross club who drives a Ford Focus (or was it a Probe?) and killing most everyone in more expensive sports cars.

Lol it's okay to not be open minded and accept the fact that just maybe some other cars may be faster than your 350z. I'm used to seeing that kind of thinking around here anyways.

And z-u-later, I generally agree, but you have to realize that those who cannot drive for **** don't even belong in a sports car. But overall evos out perform just about anything in it's price range. I'm not an evo fanboy, I own a s2000 for gods sake. I can't rock the less than 200 miles per tank and 1200 a pop tires. But at least I'm open minded about it and give credit where it's due.
