I'm not sure how one would attribute price fluctuation directly to the economy. For example, the Zs value is at a year low during winter months.

Hopefully soon we'll be able to do some analysis on this data and track changes
In terms of the dollar being week, energy prices going up (except for the recent reduction in the past week but on the way up again), stocks getting bashed, and not to mention housing. The Z is more of a luxury (loosely used) than a necessity. One would think that since Americans have less to spend on toys.

GL on your venture.

I wasn't implying that what you were doing was illegal, I figured your research/contracts and what not were proprietary on your part and you might not want to get into all of the exact details.

Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Nice work.

Oh that's cool -- the "legal" question is a big topic no matter what you do now a days

How is that possible? It takes time to collect and compile this much data. That may be the day you got the data, but when was it collected? I ask because I've seen a recent sharp downturn in the used sportscar market. Like 10% in just the last 6 months.

I heard 06 GT is the best of the best. Perfect balance between luxury price and age/milage. I got 2 whole calls after placing my car 4 sale for $28k. BUt I'm just gona keep it a bit longer.

Those are Retail prices, KBB has almost the same prices for Retail. Private sale is differrent, even that I believe some of those prices are inflated.

I paid $21K for my 2006 6MT Enthusiast with 12,500 miles on it.

Then you probably can get an 05 0r 06 with 45 to 50K for $18 to 19K

Neat. Nice info.

Much better than the other guy that posted a long time ago that basically said our Z's are worth $5000.

I specif. extracted the 350Z data (takes about an hour). The biggest challenge with processing is reformatting fields like Color, Transmission, and Model. People write stuff like Slvr, which maps to Silver and ppl get pretty creative with descriptions that we have to map into something more general.

I'm sure there has been a downturn in the last 6 months, a lot of them stay listed for months. We have not yet begun tracking volume and time on the market, but hope to do so soon.

Totally agree with you regarding the sale prices for sports cars. Have you seen the market drop on the R32, 33, 34.

I used KBB to help price my wifes Miata for Private Sell. I actually got $300 over the Private Sell number.
