Default Ordered '04 Coupe Dates?

Anyone that ordered an '04 Coupe have you got your Vin number and specific ETA yet?

I ordered mine first week it opened up in June and as of yesterday my dealer still doesn't have a Vin # on it yet but still expects it in August.

Is everyone getting this answer still or does someone have something more specific?

What kinds of documents did you get from the dealer when you ordered the car? How long did he say it'll take for the car to arrive? I ordered a 04 coupe today too and the dealer said they can't get me the VIN #.

From my past experience harrassing the dealer and posts on the forum.

Dealers order vehicles once a month, mine was able to around the 10th of each month. Then the order has to be accepted by NNA and transmitted to Japan. Sometime later NNA will inform the dealer of the VIN #s they have been assigned for their order. Most dealers do not go out of their way to let customers know what the # is unless asked.

As far as documents go I just got a faxed reciept and order form for the car I ordered. Dealer is in another state that I'm going through.

Anyway, dealer explained that once the car has an actual Vin # it will come through on a monthly report they get from NNA like someone just mentioned. Until the Vin # comes through all they get is an estimated month of arrival which mine is August when I ordered first week of June.

Now once you get a Vin # you will get an actual day of arrival estimate and can track where the car is by Vin #.

I'm trying to find out if anyone who ordered theirs in July has a Vin # yet. Or if I'm the only one without one. Because without a Vin # as of yet I doubt an August arrival is going to happen.

I ordered first week in June. My dealer recently got a list of cars due in during the month of August and my car was NOT on the list. So, I'm guessing September

my dealer just told me that they have to order my car with cargo conv. package, otherwise they can't order the car. Is that true?

BS! your dealer is a scum bag... Go somewhere else. You can order the car however you want according to the brochure.

Agreed, that means he's not ordering you a car. He's probably trying to sell you a car that he's previously ordered that has the Cargo Conv. on it.

Call him out on it and tell him he's full of it.

I had Team Nissan in Atlanta tell me that all of their cars came with bra's and wheel locks and I walked out on them on the spot.

They're full of it. Those are the dealers that will also tell you that the dealer options like leather protection and paint protection after market are standard too.

You can order your car any way you want to just like you would build it online.

I was just told they've got a Silverstone 04 enthusiast on the way, that hasn't been ordered yet. I'm going in tomorrow to lay my money down! Woo!
