so i finally got my z after waiting a long time and i am very happy about it. i got a pretty good deal on it too. i was wondering when u guys got ur car did u let ur friends drive it? i wouldnt mind letting some of my friends drive it but others of them were a ***** and wouldnt let me drive their car. they had an old car around 8-10 years old and wouldnt want to teach me how to drive manual...

 

You earned your z, you bought it (well maybe). It's your car. If your friends were dicks and didn't let you drive theirs then don't let them drive yours lol

 

I hate letting people drive my car, (Its always ackward when then ask I know) but if I do you better believe I am sitting right next to them, and if they start to do anything stupid I tell them to stop and GTFO of the car. If its teh same kids that wouldn't help you out, not once taking you for a spin in a 10 year old car to learn a stick I would say F them.

I personally wouldn't let anyone drive my car.
if you let someone drive your car it is most likely that other people will want to drive your car as well. Once that goes on, it is a cycle.

When your friends ask you if they can drive your car, tell them.

"sorry, I know you are a really good friend of mine but If i let you drive my car, I would have to let the others also."

people need the serious side sometimes

 

the only time i ever let a friend drive my car is in a small parking lot to see my car from the outside for once... very very rarely that and if they are a mechanic who is doing work to my car.

If they crash it then what? dumb idea to me its your money though.

 

for some reason my friends haven't ask for test drive yet if they do i don't mimd letting them.

 

A few other Z owners have drivin my car, and some of my closest friends have too.

 

just say no dude. i hate people driving my car. especially since alot of them try doing stupid *** ****. My best friend ****ed the living **** out of my clutch once and ever since then nobody has driven my car.

 

It's easy enough for me, my friends know better than to ask to drive my car

 

I don't let anyone other than my dad drive my car. I don't mind if I don't need it and he asks if he can drive it. The only exception...I let one of my friends drive it for about a block, only because I always drove his car. Since then, nobody out of the family has driven it.

 

Honestly to me it really depends.

First when I got it I only let close friends that knew how to drive stick drive it.
Then I realized I had so many close friends drive my car I got used to letting others driving my car. Sometime they fk up and mess the clutch up but I figure its still under warranty hahah

I let chicks drive my car if they knew how to drive stick as well.
In the end its just a car.. (depends where you are for insurance purposes haha).

It really depends when people know how to handle a car as well.
Once/If I go FI, I don't think I would let anyone drive my car unless they're experienced with high hp.


Ways I avoided people driving my car:
If people want to drive your car. Say something along the lines of "I would let you but somethings acting fishy/ maybe next time" (Something always wrong with a modded car )
You're not an *** nor is he driving your car. Win-Win.

I noticed the majority of the time if you offer to let your friends drive when driving is not needed. (like after you just got done parking/or at a party). They tend to stop asking to drive.

 

Oh yah I had the friends that would let me drive their rsx's and other "high class" cars.
Those guys can fk themselves just because of that action I didn't let them drive my car even though kids who let me drive their civics got to drive my car haha..

So if you're friends didn't even offer to teach you to drive stick on a 8 yr old car..
hmmm..

No one drives my car but me. I also dont ask to drive other peoples cars. Guess I'm paranoid.
