hey guys, just an issue that I have bought up with friends..
Hey guys, cruise this forum from time to time, and my friends and I got to talking (as well as some other forums) about the 350z and the 'negative' aura that surrounds it. It seems that no matter what car forum or owner you are speaking to, everyone hates on the Z and it is usually in a kill story saying something along the lines of "stupid Z drivers.. those Z's are jokes.. blah blah blah." However, my gripe is that this is NEVER said about the G35 coupe/z33 what have you. I understand the "stereotypical" Z driver tends to be viewed as a cocky sore loser, but whatever that's no different or no larger than any other car demographic. So, since I've never ridden or raced a Z (I drive a GTP), I am wondering how this whole 'negative' outlook has gone on for so long and if anyone has observed the same thing. Personally, I'm not sure why this is the way it is, because the Z has a great stock motor, great exhaust note, and killer looks.

I think you guys are misinterpreting this. I am a Z fan, nothing against it, all for it. Just get a vibe from EVERY other driver that Z's are toys, whatever, you get the picture. Wasn't intended to start an argument, it was intended to do the opposite.

I 100% agree with the "as the car becomes cheaper" comment.
as a Z and an STi owner, i've seen way too much of that over the past year.
to be honest, the guys i see on the STi forums(obviously nasioc, and now IWSTi) and more importantly at meets and around the city-
the STi crowd is something i want to be less and less a part of. don;t get me wrong, i know all cars have their bad apples....but it just seems the STi kids hae become ridiculous.....don't get me wrong....i'm more than comfortable with myself to won any car i want....however, i have to admit....i'm becoming less and less of a fan of meeting other owners of both cars....just to be honest....
