Because if I had a GT3 I would be spending 30-40k on parts. Exhausts from Gemballa are like in upwards of 4-5k. Bodykits are 10-20k and the shops I would trust with it would cost more in labor. Pretty much I'm gonna modify everything I can get my hands on.

I'm sure if they wanted a Porsche, they'd get one. If they wanted a Z, they'd get one. It's up to the consumer. Why get a Civic and put rims? Why get a Porsche and put rims? Same mindset, different wants.

because the feeling and the knowledge of knowing you built something and you worked for so hard is good. I honestly, call me stupid, flame me i dont care but i honestly look at my z everyday and take a moment to be grateful that i am capable of having such an amazing car. To others it might just be an import but to me its my pride and joy. I think for my driving the Z is perfectly balanced. Hobby to some but the source of happiness to others. If you find that its stupid to spend alot of money modding a Z and feel its more productive to by a porsche or zo6 then i suggest you sell the z cancel you account on this forum and buy whatever car it is you find reasonable to spend "$100,000" on.

Well I have owned high end vehicles while I owned my Z, and for some reason, I still prefer the Z. I have around 22k in mods and 25k in the car, and I can assure you can't even buy a car for 47k that comes remotely close to my Z.

Back OT, its a hobby and generally a preference

I put money into the Z because I want my car to be Better looking, faster, and original according to my taste. I could buy a porsche but then I'd look like everyone else who drives a porsche. Originality is the name of the game.

OP do you view your car the same way you view a microwave? Is it just another appliance? I mod because I enjoy having a car that to my knowledge no one else has. I mod because I like the friends that are madein the process. I mod my Z because I enjoy driving a car I built that can hand many other more expensive cars their ***

if you had a GT3 you wouldn't need to modify it.
