I am now hearing rumors that Nissan is coming out with a front suspension redesign and retrofit. The thing I don't understand is that a lot of people are talking about taking OUT negative camber in the front (after lowering), when that is exactly what you need. The tire feathering problem on the 350Z in related to not enough negative camber causing the tire to constantly scrub across the entire surface in a straight line and roll the entire tire over onto that outside edge in cornering. I will show you pics tomorrow of what happened to my race tires today to prove it.
I originally heard this on s2ki and I have since confirmed it with a Nissan tech from corporate when talking to them about replacing my tranny for a second time. I was verifying that the tranny has since been redesigned so I asked about this at the same time and got a positive answer.

Steve... Thanks for the info...!!!
question regarding the redesign of the tranny... did Nissan say:
1/ this was already done ? If so, when did they start putting it in ?
2/ or the tranny has been redesigned and will be installed starting with FY04 models ?
thanks again...

As far as the control arms go.... We are in the process of making adjustable upper contol arms for your cars. The hold up at this point is testing and upper ball joint issues. Once these are sorted out I'll post prices/pictures test data, etc. Sorry, this is all I have at this point.

Actually, for every day driving I think you would want to reduce the neg camber (at least for tire wear purposes).
My front tires wore the insides more rapidly than the outsides (but just barely) and I drive very twisty roads everyday to work.
I imagine that people who are doing significant highway driving would have even more problems.
For racing though, I definitely agree that the Z could use additional neg camber. Kinda makes it tough if you use the Z both as a racer and a daily driver.

As far as transmissions go, my 2nd replecement had a different part # than my first one. My first one was replaced in December and the 2nd one in April. I will try to find my service record and post the new part # so you can compare...
