Unhappy Smoking Tires

OK, This might seem like a dumb question but here goes.
I see pictures of the z smoking the tires all over the place, my question is can the Z smoke the tires and how far? I have a super black 350 and have driven and owned alot of different types of cars my z will only burn the tires for about 6 to 10 feet, I would think with 287hp that I would be able to smoke tires for quite a ways. Is there something wrong with my paticular Z or is that it. I always turn off the VDC so that's not it . Any response would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Bruce

a poster, ND70V, was able to disconnect his emergency parking cable for the rear brakes. That allowed him to do all the burn out he wanted.

best burn out would likely come from whatever drop would give you enough speed that you have time to shift to second DURING the burn.

problem is, the Zs tires could be much worse, and they are wide. so you have a fair amount of traction goin on there, meaning you wont be burning too long before the car catches up; not that you dont have the power, you can assuredly burn the tires into second all the way through, but youll get up to speed in a pretty short distance anyway.

Default Thanks to the ones

who didn't think it was a stupid thing to do. The question was to find out if MY car had a power problem, not to go around burning my tires off. I have raced enough times in my life (51 yo) especillay in the 60's and 70's (mostly drag racing) to know you won't win many race by sitting at the line burning tires. Again it was more of a perfomance question with my Car.
Thanks again guys.
Bruce
PS I love the way this car gets off the line, not much burn and alot of jump.
