Stone Chip in Windshield
Riding home today on Route 130 in North Brunswick,a car in front of me kicked up a stone, and blasted my windshield.I now have a bullseye staring me right in the face.Has anyone else had this happen.Should I go through my insurance to fix it,or should I just pay for it myself?

Usually you can get it fixed for about $30-40. Do it quick before it spreads. If the repair doesn't make it look like new, then you can get your insurance company involved and get a new windshield.

First of all, i dont think most insurance companies will fix a window ding. Totally depends on your policy and deductible. In most cases, people have $500 deductible, which means if the repair is not greater than $500, you pay for it out of pocket. Even if it is more than $500 to fix, you pay the first $500 and then they cover the rest. Most of this is covered in your vandalism portion of your policy.
Secondly, if your window crack is not deep enough and just a small blemish, a lot of window repair places wont touch it. It will be a pretty cheap fix if it is starting to spider web along the window, but for small pin dot cracks, they dont even advise you fix it. Just makes you cross eyed when you drive depending on where the crack is. Hope this helps.
