Default What's it worth ????

I've had my 350 for a little over 6 years now and it's time for it to go. It's a Chrome Silver '03 Enthusiast with a full Nismo replica kit on it. It's got right at 36k miles on it.

The issue is one of the cylinders is low on compression, so it doesn't run well. I've got the check engine light on and blinking of course and the car had oil in the spark plugs....it will basically need a drop in or to be rebuilt. It had an ATI Procharger on it for a long time, but the rings never really seated to begin with so it was trouble from the beginning. It is completely stock down to the air filter now.

What is the consensus on what it's worth as-is? I'm ready to get it out of my driveway and seeing what my options are now and if it is better for me to go ahead and source a motor and fix then sell it, or just see what I can get as-is and not have to worry about it.

Thanks for any insight.

if you repaired it and cleaned the car up well it could probably privately sell for 12-15k. trade in wouldnt be too much lower - the body kit isn't going to help though, people will know it has been modded and driven harder.

Id say let the dealer take the fall on this one. Clear CEL and its as good as new ... at least until you leave the dealership with a new ride.

Probably less with it needing a fresh motor. He may get $14 at the dealer.

I'll give you $3.50

Seriously, the only way u can make somewhat decent money is if you FIX the car and then sell it. YOu're going to have VERY hard time selling a non running car. You may not even get $4000. But if you fix the problem, spend couple grand, clean it up real good (detail) and you may get kbb price. Just my .02

sadly that what i did with my boosted TC, blew a few piston rings and did a commpression check and 2 of them were below 20 psi then normal. put thicker oil in made it run great and got a great trade in for a 2008 350z! dealer will run a compression test on it before reselling and fix it only costing them parts! but I agree not the best thing to do but it is what most people do these days.
