Completely not my fault. I was pulling into a parking lot at my school as another was pulling out. I was in the turning lane with my blinker on and made the turn but half way through the turn he started pulling out on me. He would have t-boned me but I swerved over but couldn't make it into the parking lot and hit the curb with my wheel locked to the left. My wheel broke off and dameged mostly my front right fender. It did minor damage to the carbon fiber hood which I don't think can be repaired and minor damage to the door.

I didn't get pics but I'll upload some tomorrow.

hmmm, so if insurance comes to play, who's fault would it be? I know your side of the story, but technically he did not hit you.

sounds like each insurer will deal with the claims individually and then subrogate. this allows the ins. companies to raise both drivers rates.

A similar thing happened to me many years ago. But in my case the other car had no insurance.
Raised my rates...

I almost hit a curb once dodging a dipshit in a civic that changed lanes while I was right next to him. I bout ****. I pulled next to him at the light and thanked him. He had the most blank look on his face EVER

I don't mean to be rude, but getting into an accident is a big deal. you might be tired of reading about them, but you don't have to go into the thread either.

where better to get sympathy about something terribad that happened to your car? I'd think people with similar passion for their Z's would be a pretty f'in ideal place to discuss it, personally.

 

I'll never take a curb over getting hit unless it's life or death, although I will use all the space I have. If someone screws up bad enough to trade paint, I want there to be no doubt who hit who... and who screwed the pooch. 1 person hitting a curb just proves 1 person can't drive.

If you don't drive intelligently, you will get in a lot of accidents, your fault or not.
