Default Freeway car Accident on 605s near downey ******picture added*****

Long story short,I was heading back to Irvine from Pasadena around 2:00pm and usually there are traffic on 605s so we were going about 50 mph. Suddenly the mercedes(first car who is involved in accident) decided to press on the break hard and the toyota camry(second car) and my car was able to come to a stop safely, however the the truck behind me(1999 chevy s10) was not equipped with ABS brakes and even though he tried to stop in time, the car rolled and hit my rear bumper. Due to the impact from the truck, I was pushed into camry and camry into mercedes.

My insurance company just called me that I was 0% fault. I am really happy about that btw . I paid off this car about a month ago, so I can get aftermarket parts. bad news is I just got new exhaust two days ago, and they are pretty much jacked up.

If any of you guys saw me on 605 in big car crash scene, that was me.
I also saw a lot of jackasses who were throwing some dumbass comments when we were exchanging insurance info and such...

have a great weekend guys and drive safe

sam

p.s. How does getting aftermarket parts at the body shop work? please help me out

This is the first time I got into an accident after I actually owned this car.
How does getting aftermarket parts actually work?

Do I have to tell them where to buy front bumper and rear bumper and stuff? hmmmm

most body shops will give you the money to fix it yourself my friend did that and had 4k left over because some places will replace stuff that can be banged out or that isn't actually broken. like they will replace everything on your front bumper but you may have markers and bolts that are useable... stupid stuff like that.

I had 2 accidents with this z so far. First one was my fault and at that time I did not own this car. Is that why I didn't get the money from insurance? body shop just gave my insurance an estimate and I didn't get any money back.

It depends on the insurance, but normally you can contact them and have them do an est and you'll get a check. If a body shop does the repairs they get the check so just ask the body shop to do the major repairs if any needed or tell them you'll do the repairs on your own. That works best cuz if the insurance relies on you they may ask for a pic of it finnished or want to inspect it.

so basically i shouldn't go to a bodyshop that triple AAA told me to go to then huh? in that case I won't be able to get the check. and on top of that if I do get the check, and give it to different body shop to do some work and what if cost comes out more?
