Default Z Woes

Well, as some of you may know, a few months ago, I drifted my Z into a divider, and thus jacked up my passenger side suspension.

I've already fixed all that ails my suspension but a few problems remain:

ABS kicks in randomly when slowing to a stop going up or down a hill of any grade
Odd vibrating sound coming from the front left at every revolution of the wheel. Someone mentioned that I may of worn a spot into the tire
Odd grinding sound when cold

Rear is ticking (already bugged nissan about the TSB, they said they would "look into it" ie not find anything and charge me for it)

Otherwise its the same Z I had before.

What I'm wondering is, should I fix everything and continue to use this Z as my platform (TT full build, etc) or trade this in plus my RSX-S in for a Nismo/2007/8 Z (VQ35HR over DE). I've had my RSX listed for about 4 months now with no bites, so I'm wondering if that would be the better option to go.

On one hand I'm telling my self to stfu and deal with what I have, and that once built a DE over HR won't be a whole lot different in the end. On the other hand, I'm frustrated with the Z I have and irritated in how hard its been to sell my RSX.

this question is completely subjective to your lifestyle and what you want to do... i mean if you are looking for an opinion i would ditch the rsx and the crapped z and get a new nismo... but that depends on how serious the damage was/is to the car. then again, does it not snow in denver? what are you going to do when you need to get around if it does?

i love my 04.5 but i want a nismo, so i am waiting for the right time to trade in.

I've already picked up an 02 Bugeye (yellow) for winter driving. I originally intended the 350z to replace the RSX.

350z is currently in perfect condition cosmetically minus the random ABS kicking in, and the flat spot on the tire (you can actually see it, so its verified there).

Grinding was apparently just the tranny making its usual noises.

i would sell the nissan while you can, get a new one with a new clean title, assuming you are going to keep this for a while.

Actually, what do you guys think of modifying the Nismo? I do by no means intend to keep it stock, which is why I was also looking at a GT 07/08. I actually intend to use it for what its ment for - the track.

That means CF hatch with lexan, and non-stock seats and a roll cage.

still nismo. unless you plan on reinforcing the frame yourself. if you are just throwing a cf hatch on (you made no indication as to other plans), then the nismo is def a good starting point.

I do intend to lighten it up (but paint over the CF, as I hate having random CF crap everywhere).

I'm wondering the weight of the bumpers and if I can shave any weight off. Chassis reinforcement will be primarily from GTSpec, as they got quite a few pieces. Others will be custom made if needed.

My concern though, is that I'd be marring up a "Nismo". Almost makes me feel guilty.

well my personal opinion is that the nismo z (as well my z) should remain aesthetically stock. if your painting the cf, even better. if you are going to change the body kit or something like that i would tell you to get something other than the nismo. however if you are just upgrading than what is the difference? if it will be your car for a while do whatever you want to it to make it better. if you are planning on reinforcing the body, the nismo already comes with a few key reinforcements which will make your life easier. and regardless..... its a nismo, aka sex on wheels.

oh bro, def black.
