350z TOO MUCH HYPE!!!!NOT MUCH CAR!!!
ok, some might wonder where do i get the *****, or some might agree with me on what i am about to write. Ok here goes, i was an owner of a nissan 240sx and a 300zx at one point , now i own a eclipse turbo, i am waiting to buy a new car and the 350z was one of my choices. The Z has arrived or has it. I must say the look of the Z is awesome, flared wheel wells, nice sleak design, very clean. The interior no where near what u pay for , very , very cheap looking interior and poor quality. Next thing a 3.5 liter V6 finally a good choice for nissan. But the ratio is horrible , the car is again too heavy . 0-60 time of 5.8 not impressive at all, considering the WRX runs a 5.7 for about 5 grand plus cheaper. Quarter mile time is descent also. But constant variable timing in the engine leaves little tweaking for the consumer. To me this car would not be 26000 plus if this was the first Z to come out but since it is the new addition Z nissan knows they can capitalize on old Z lovers. This car is perfect if u have money to blow. But rear wheel, two seater, weighing 3200 and only having 244hp is decent nothing great and with the G35 coupe coming out and the IS coupe coming out , what makes this any better. I like the look thats about it. With the STI, LANCER, RX8 all on the horizon all for under 30 and offering alot more makes me wonder. Also on a side note 34 for the track model is ridiculous, the new cobra comes out for 35, runs a 12.7 right out the dealership. I just feel for the money , the car comes up short.

incorrect statements
Just was wondering i posted all facts except what i thought about the car, and the thing with the mustang , domestic are much easier to work on the imports LOL. I hate domestics but just trying to let people see , for 28 grand they can find alot better choices.

One clarification for readers...
Many around here know that the 350z has 287hp. However, "batty" mentioned 244hp. His number comes from the latest issue of Sport Compact Tuner, who dynoed the 350Z and got 244hp at the wheels. I read the article just yesterday...
SCT did a fancy custom exhaust with larger diameter pipe, and LOST 3hp (to 241hp at the wheels). Then, they butchered the stock suspension, lowering the Z by too much and badly screwing up the camber. Finally, the wheels/tires were shorter but wider than stock 17s (40 ratio instead of 45) and had the wrong offset, so the wheel wells looked empty and the wheels looked sunken in. This Frankenstein monster they made was ugly; a real shame. I felt sorry for that Z.

Well Batty, I have had more requests to ban your *** than usual so I am merely going to close this thread instead and let it die peacefully.
Your statements are noted, but you are wrong in many areas. We all have opinions and if yours is that the Z is not worth the funds, then take your arguements and thoughts elsewhere. We are a Z FAN site, not a Z ***** site.
Further posts by you will be monitored and if need be, deleted.
Don't make me ban you.
