No one correct answer here, but personally I'm starting my own project Z with NGK Iridium plugs, a plenum spacer, and a Popcharger intake.

One more thing worth mentioning, NEVER buy on whatever's "cheapest" alone. My advice is save up and get the quality stuff. Worth the wait and extra effort, saves you from future headaches, and the only time you cry is when you first bust out your wallet.

you get what you pay for.

but once you mod you start a chain reaction that needs completion.

if you do AI you need to also do complete exhaust. (which you have)

so get the spacer, a pulley set test pipes and header's.

then get a piggy back and tune it.

along with that i would also do some suspension work.

The sarcastic know it all comments to this guy's legitimate question on the first page is exactly why I never post on this site; even though I preordered my Z and have been here longer than most of you.

My favorite mod was a JWT Popcharger. It is the most popular short ram air intake for our cars and cost me around $140. This is also the best first mod to install on your car because it is so simple a cave man could do it. Compared to a cold-air intake, the JWT Pop Charger gives you the same power (5-7hp), an easier install (20-30 min your first time with a wrench) and you don't have the driving through a flood risk like you would with the lower location of the cold-air intake. Best thing about this mod, which you only get on the JWT, is the turbo-like whistle (still no blow off valve woosh of course) it gives you from 3K to 5K RPMs. Some on this site have called it the "poor man's turbo."

Don't waste your money on a pulley set, really don't.

Also, HFC > Test Pipes
